Room was nice and clean

Posted Apr 21, 2015
Pros: It was walking distance to the race
Cons: Staff communication
Location: It's near Gas Lamp
Staff was helpful in checking in. The only thing that I was disappointed is that we asked the front desk that the air condition unit was not working. No one showed up to adjust the the temperature or check why it was not working. The room got extremely hot.

Pros: The historic aspects
Cons: They could update the washrooms
Enjoyed the act that it was in the heart of the Gas Lamp Quarter with lots of restaurants around. Alo very close to most attractions

Comfy hotel close to everything!

Posted Apr 19, 2015
Big room (suite) that had separate living area & small kitchenette. Large screen tv's & fireplace. Room was a little noisy on street when windows open, otherwise fine. Carpet & Furnishings comfortable but getting a little old. Will stay again

Charming boutique hotel, walk to Convention Ctr

Posted Apr 17, 2015
Pros: Pleasant, quiet, convenient location to Convention Center and Gaslamp District
Location: The hotel is just off San Diego' Gaslamp District, within three-block walk of San Diego's Convention Center, Marriott Marquis, San Diego waterfront.
The Horton Grand is a charming boutique hotel, set in a nicely-renovated setting of two adjoining century-old brick hotel buildings. Rooms are compact but comfortable with charming amenities like fireplaces and vintage armoire closets. The hotel is just off San Diego' Gaslamp District, with lots of food and beverage alternatives within a block or two of the hotel. An easy three-block walk to the Convention Center and Marriott made this hotel a great choice for my stay during a recent convention I was attending.

Excellent staff response

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: Old world charm
Cons: Food service
Location: city center ... excellent
Was placed in the wing above the piano. Given the disturbance I requested a move on a weekend with a packed hotel. Great response in the midst of difficulties

Cons: Wifi was slow in my room.
The Horton Grand is right in the heart of things; lots of restaurants and bars nearby. The lobby and bar at the hotel are very nice. The rooms are fairly nice, however, the wifi was slow.
