The hotel staff are very nice and considerate. However the rooms are extremely old and way past due for a total renovation.

Looks were deceiving..

Pros: nothing
Cons: update the rooms, at least paint over the obvious ugliness ie waterstains.
Location: There were a lot of liquor stores and check cashing places... It was a drive to get to downtown San Diego
The room was old and t.v outdated, my view was of a trailer park, my first night there was swarming with police. The shower had no hot water at best it was tepid, there was no microwave, the continental breakfast consisted of stale coffee and something that was supposed to be a cinnamon roll. The neighborhood was sketchy at best.

Just...just don't stay here.

As soon as we entered the room we started checking things out. Starting with bathroom we saw the first cockroach in the tub. When to sink to wash hands and saw another cockroach and a used dried up coffee pack still in the coffee maker. Went to turn on the 1990s TV and the remote didn't work so we had to get up and operate it all night. The front office call to say they needed a deposit and we told them about the bugs we saw and she stated that we would probably see more! The hotel looked decent on the outside but the inside is old. The mattress was just bad!!! Will not be coming back!

Terrible, no other words necessary.

worst hotel ever. room had a fridge in it that was unplugged and smelled of mold and mildew. It made the entire room smell like a wet dog. Also, the air conditioner hardly worked and took over an hour to even get cooling the room down. If it had been hot that day forget it, it would have been one hot smelly room. The $84 for that double bed should have been cut in half as I have been to less than one star motels that were better.

Although nothing upscale it has all the basic things (pool, fridge and tv in room). Great location but make sure you have a car!

Overpriced for Dodgy Neighborhood

Posted Sep 3, 2014 on Hotels.com
We were there on Labor Day weekend, so maybe the rates were higher than usual, but I usually don't have to pay over $100 a night to stay in a neighborhood of pawn shops, tattoo parlors, and gun stores. The hotel itself was OK. Rooms were nothing special, but they were clean, quiet, and the beds were comfortable.

over priced

Inn by itself is very old and really needs a renovation. Air conditioning doesn't work, didn't give any relief from the heat. Sheets are dirty. If you like to just sleep and shower, then it's okay. But, for the price paid, I think there's a better place to be.
