You pay for what you get

Posted Jul 22, 2014
I get there and the microwave is really dirty. Still had leftover food from past guest .The coffee pot had no filters or coffee. There's a trailer park behind it sharing the same parking lot so there's traffic of people all night and the breakfast is a joke they have nothing but a mess no one there to replace anything .

Very rude front desk staff he was not willing to help anyone out I had an issue with him as well as other people in line he wouldn't give us our rooms. We had to call the police in order to get our room. Front desk staff he needs to be fired.

We're very satisfied! Cheap and Good!

We stayed only one night of our 4 night stay. I wish we would have stayed here all the time. Super clean, AC working great, good continental breakfast. They hold 200 dlls, but it didn't bother me.

Scary Place

Posted Jul 4, 2014
This is an old building with lots of touch up paint. Room was smelling like mildew, and was facing a trailer park. I guess you get what you pay for. Packed up and left for another hotel!

Pretty good for a night or two.

Posted Jun 26, 2014
Pros: The newer remodeled rooms with the really comfy beds!
Cons: Maybe have someone actually at the desk at all times. I find it much easier to speak in person with someone rather than call.
Location: Pretty near the border, so you can walk to it or to nearby shopping.
Good place to stay if you want to stay for a couple of nights. Ask for the newest rooms when booking if possible, the entire place has been remodeled but some rooms are much nicer than others. There might be an up-charge for a better room with a much more comfortable bed, which is very important to me. I found this out after we stayed one night and I didn't care for the bed we had. So I asked to change rooms and at first was quoted $20 but when we returned from our day trip, the very nice man at the desk made a phone call and then said it would me much less than that. So I jumped on it and it was soooo worth it. Much better night than the first night. We were on the top floor so we could hear the floors squeak, so we tried to walk as quietly as we could. I can only imagine how the people on the bottom floor must feel with those who don't care and walk heavily. Overall it's a pretty decent place to stay. Keep in mind the property has a very big sign posted stating Check in is not until 4pm NO EXCEPTIONS! Also at certain times of the day their is no person at the desk, you must use the phone and it rings over to another property( I think) and they assist you in what you need. We forgot a razor and they gave us a disposable one which was good. All in all the staff was very nice and I appreciated them allowing us to change rooms. Even though we had to pay for it.

It is what it is

Posted Jun 26, 2014
Pros: price
Cons: Cleanliness of pool area, breakfast is a joke at best, deep clean the room.
Location: It is close to the border. We were able to get to the key San Diego areas within 15 minutes but didn't pay San Diego rates.
You get what you are paying for. We were here for a trip where we didn't expect to be in the room very much. The room was small, but the beds were surprisingly comfortable. The management demands that your room be cleaned daily. They are quick and efficient but your room gets cleaned on their schedule. If your schedule doesn't work for them then they do get a little demanding when the housekeeper's shift is over. The rooms do need a face lift. The door to the bathroom kept falling off the rails, the corners had cobwebs, there was mold in the bathroom. As stated above, you get what you pay for. But please be aware that they put a charge on your credit card not just a hold. I am hoping that this will be released without having to fight, but I don't think it is going to happen.
