“A Satisfactory Stay”

This is the 3rd hotel circle place I've stayed in and the Vagabond is the best. For a family-style room, the comfort, cleanliness, and service was above average. I had some problems with hot water; that would be my only complaint. It had a couple of extras, such as microwave, coffee maker, and a table to work at. And the holiday rates were very competitive. I will stay there for my next trip to San Diego.

“disapointed in expedia”

hotel was located in an area with numerous other hotels. upon looking up the rates of other hotels, found out that we paid going rate. Expedia was no deal. AAA membership would have gotten us a better rate.

“Would most defiinitely use this hotel for future plans”

I had originally considered Motel 6 but wanted to provide something a little more upbeat for my sister and her family, so - I picked the Vagabond Inn. I was still a little apprehensive until I stepped into the room - it had more ammenities than mentioned in their advertising - microwave and refrigerator...my sister and her family were equally happy with the hotel and mentioned that they wouldn't mind going back in the future.

Area recommendations

Old Town, Harbor Drive, Shelter Island, San Diego Zoo, Sea World, and Coronado Island - also, the beaches.

When to go

We chose November, because the crowds at the major attractions are not there...there is a penalty - unusual or inclement weather that can minimize the pleasure factor, especially rides at the them parks...otherwise, there are great visiting opportunities year-round.

For the money, it's a good place. It was comfortable and had evrything I was looking for, hot tub, fridge with freezer, micro, king size bed, parking within 6 ft of my room, breakfast and location.

“Unexpectedly comfortable!!!”

The pictures of the room, can only give this place so much credit, we honestly were blown away by the comfort and luxury that this hotel room offered....we reserved the jacuzzi suite!!!!! Overall great experience and the hotel staff was extremely helpful acquiring cabs for us and providing us with details of the surrounding area.

“perfect for our visit to san diego”

My boyfriend and I stayed at the vagabond inn for 4 nights. We got an amazing deal through expedia. This motel was nothing extra special, but was exactly perfect for what we needed it for- somewhere clean and quiet to sleep. The room was extremely clean when we arrived and the tv had many channel options which was a plus. The vagabond inn is located in the convenient hotel circle area. The front desk associate was pleasant and helpful. There was a small continental breakfast in the lobby every morning, but we didn't try it. Overall we had a nice stay at the hotel. No problems and I would stay again

“Basic, no frills hotel in a good location”

There is nothing fancy about this hotel. The room was clean and basic but the traffic noise was VERY loud. I had to purchase earplugs in order to sleep through the night. The breakfast is also basic (waffles, cereal, fruit, juice, coffee) but good. However you need to take your breakfast back to your room to eat it. Which for us meant carrying our food on the sidewalk in front of the hotel to get to our room on the far side of the property. The free parking and free, fast wi-fi was great along with the location. If you have a car, it's close to pretty much everything.
