Best deal on Hotel Circle bar none!Posted Dec 11, 2014
Pros: Heated pool, coffee in room along with safe, microwave and fridge!
Cons: Everything was in O.K. condition and worked fine!
O.K. This hotel is showing a little age but if you are looking for a clean, comfortable room at GREAT price this is your ticket. Bed and pillows were fine, nice table to work at and the room had a safe, microwave and fridge! Coffee and maker also in the room. T

Run!!!!Posted Dec 8, 2014
Construction going on and on top of that they wanted to park a moving truck right in the middle of the parking lot so Noone can get in or out and all they had to say was we can do anything figure it out ( their words verbatim) Id say there's about 100 rooms but they only have like 30 maybe 40 parking spots so get there and stay there because that free parking will vanish.... Front desk was horrible.... Your better off bringing your own towel or even better 2 kleenexes, theybwouldnwork better than the towel provided..... Definitely spring the extra 10-20 bucks for another hotel unles you want to hear the people walking above you or the countless hoodlums that smoke and joke with their doors opened..... Seriously run

Comfortable, but not perfect.Posted Dec 1, 2014
Someone had definitely smoked in our room and it was horrible smelling, but 50.00 on Thanksgiving weekend for a decent bed, and TV is not a bad deal at all.

Would Like To Have Known About The ConstructionPosted Nov 28, 2014
Pros: The location is excellent and convenient for access to San Diego Public Transit.I also like the microwave & refrigerator in the rooms.
Cons: Advance knowledge of things that might affect one's visit such as construction...
Location: Hotel Circle is the best situated to accessing Public Transit or (if driving) the freeways and major roadways.
I found my hotel room to be pleasant and was pleased to have a microwave as well as a fridge. I also found the location of the hotel to be very convenient. What I did not enjoy was the construction happening the entire week of my stay! Had I known in advance I might have booked down the road. I purchase a package of flight and hotel that is nonrefundable so that was not an option. The noise was during most daylight hours so did not truly allow for sleeping in or fully relaxing on days I stayed in. The hotel is good but I would have liked to know in advance about the construction.

The hotel room was dirty, the pool was dirty, and the shower valve would not turn off the water.

The room smelled when we opened door.Posted Nov 19, 2014
Location: Area is close to Old Town where we like to go.
first I called ahead because I was going to arrive late and asked for a room down stairs, the person who answered said they could not guarantee that but would make a note of that, when I got there no note was made. 2nd when I opened the door the room smelled like a smoking room, I went back to ask for a none smoking room and the person said all the rooms are none smoking, there was also no parking and had to park at a dirty lot next door that the hotel uses. 3rd when I turned on the air it smelled again. 4th the beds were itchy, 5th there were only 2 batch towels in the room nothing else no hand towels...Let me just say I will never stay there again and not sure why Expedia would have them on there site!

Great rooms- but bad construction around hotelPosted Nov 10, 2014
The staff was friendly and answered any questions, and the room was great. We had the Jacuzzi room and it was lovely. I loved the vanity in the bathroom, the glass doors, and the small table in the bedroom. I felt that the extra touches (real bathmat-changed everyday; decorative pillows and throw, etc.) really made the room feel like home. The inside of the hotel rooms are a shock (in a good way) because they are so nice while the area around the hotel seems a little sketchy. There was construction going on toward the back of the hotel and you had to circle around the hotel to exit, which resulted in going through a HUGE pothole and weaving around cars. On top of that, there is not that much parking so that was a little annoying, but I think the hotel room itself made up for that. While the area didn't seem so safe, there were security guards patrolling, so that made us feel a little better. Even with all the stuff that made the hotel seem a little rundown on the outside, I'd recommend this experience because of the inside of the room, the staff, and the excellent room cleaning and care provided.
