Will never stay there again even if free

Posted Jan 21, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Hopefully everything is being renovated, the price should have been reduced based on the construction, uncomfortable bedding and lack of amenities.
Location: Sea World
We were not advised there was construction going on; room was unacceptable; carpeting hardly existed; the room was musty smelling and the price was far too much for what we got.

No parking and construction noise

Posted Jan 18, 2015
The hotel room looks nothing like the pictures. Construction noise made it hard to sleep in and the parking is horrible we had to park all the way on the other side of the hotel and walk around via the sidewalk by the street. Overall our stay was horrible. The only good thing was how helpful and courteous the hotel staff was at check in.

Tourist trap, at least during Comic-Con

Posted Jan 15, 2015
We booked this hotel for Comic-con, although it was pretty pricey. There is a shuttle service to the convention going from another hotel nearby. But that is the only good thing about this place. The first room they offered us stank like someone had just smoked a cigar in it. After refusing that room, since we are non-smokers and one of us is asthmatic, they gave us an OK room. We went to lunch but were called back. The manager explained that he had promised the room to another guest. After moving our stuff out, we got a room that smelled like mildew. Long story short: we told the manager that we didn't want the room and would rather stay somewhere else. We also didn't want to miss any more time at the convention. In the end we had to pay the full amount for the night nevertheless.

Went above and beyond!

Comfortable beds. Parking could be a hassle at late night, but they have an extra lot due to the construction on site. The staff were very attentive to every request and detail, and very prompt. They responded quickly, and even helped the BF jumpstart his car when the battery drained out overnight. Without charge, the staff helped jumpstart the car and wished us well as we headed back to "reality".

The hotel looks run down from the outside but once we checked in the it wasn't bad at all. No smell and bathroom was clean. Had a little kitchen.

I got a very cheap upgrade from a single bed room to a Jacuzzi Suite. The Suite was clean, felt like home and had all the amenities you would wish for. The location is exactly at the center of all the tourist attractions in/around San Diego. Going anywhere wouldn't be more than a 20 min drive. I would recommend staying at this hotel.!

Caution -Vagabond will bump you.

Posted Dec 28, 2014
Pros: The room that they gave us due to this situation was not bad for the price.
Cons: Don't deceive the guest.
Location: We pick this location since it was across the freeway from Mission valley mall. The one that they tried to move us to had no such amenity.
Vagabond will bump your Expedia Reservation to a lesser motel if they find another guest (party) that is willing to pay more. That what happened to us recently. They will tell you it is an up grade and is located just up the street. Well, it is not. They moved us to " Relaxing Inn" which is about 8 miles away and pretty dumpy. When we realized that we have been duped the person who did this tried to blame Expedia. When we called Expedia about this immediately they said that they made no such arrangement and Expedia was upset that Vagabond tried to blame them. Anyway, another person at Vagabond tried to make it right and did admit the other receptionist should have not lied about the arrangement and location.

Best deal on Hotel Circle bar none!

Posted Dec 11, 2014
Pros: Heated pool, coffee in room along with safe, microwave and fridge!
Cons: Everything was in O.K. condition and worked fine!
O.K. This hotel is showing a little age but if you are looking for a clean, comfortable room at GREAT price this is your ticket. Bed and pillows were fine, nice table to work at and the room had a safe, microwave and fridge! Coffee and maker also in the room. T
