“Thank you westgate!”

We stayed 6 days in Westgate for a business trip. It was the friendliest hotel staff I have ever seen. The hotel room was very nicely decorated and it was very clean and comfortable. I send my best greetings to the manager and staff.

Excellent value with expedia's find a quality hotel. This is located in the heart of downtown San Diego and is a 4+ star hotel. An aged lady with appropriate updates and very comfortable accomodations. Staff was very nice and general impression was superb!

“Great hotel for a family!”

Don't have sufficient stuff at the front desk, concierge bell boy, and big lobby with out any one to provide drink. Lobby area need renovation. Room service close when it would be needed most. No visible activity as to where you can dine in the hotel.

“Well maintained character”

I went down for the San Diego rock n roll marathon. I was pleasantly surprised at the spacious lobby which clearly was meant to be used. One block from the gas lamp and one block from a major shopping mall meant I had virtually no use for the rental car. Added bonus - the marathon ran right outside the hotel!

I was very surprised to have this 5 star hotel available from an on line service. I have actually avoided these services in the past but I won't hesitate to use Expedia again. Staff were very gracious, room serviice excellant and the plaza lounge/bar with piano music was delightful. Thank you

“Weekend getaway”

Beautiful, comfortable, Extremely well kept hotel. Very kind and helpful staff. Only 2 blocks from gas lamp area, lots of places to eat and shopping at Horton Plaza 1 block away. 10th. floor view of city is unbeatable. Only low point is the street noise at night. Amazing how it can carry up so high.

“What a pleasure!”

The chief concierge (Shraddha) took great care of us. It was our anniversary and she made reservations for us at a wonderful restaurant (Osetra) where they treated us like royalty at her request. When we were out for the evening, she had a special surprise waiting for us in our room when we got back. That made our stay very, very special. The hotel has a great location in the Gas Lamp district and is within walking distance of some great little cafes and shops.

this hotel was fantastic! Staff was extremely friendly even allowing us to check in real early, 9:00am, which is unheard of at any other place. Our room was fantastic with a balcony and a great city view. Walking distance to all the bars and restaurants. Would come back for sure.
