“Packer fans everywhere!”

I was in SD for the Packers-Chargers game and I chose this hotel because the Packer Fan Tour was using this hotel. Although it was kind of on the expensive side the location was perfect to hang out in the gaslamp district or go down to the ocean. Everything is in walking distance. The staff was very nice and I liked the small deli just outside the door. I would stay at this hotel again.

“Great location!”

This was our first time staying at this hotel and it’ll be the one we stay at from now on. We were so impressed by the location of the hotel with many restaurants and clubs in walking distance and a short drive to Seaport Village. We loved the whole downtown feeling of it. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. I forgot to bring my own pillow, but didn’t even miss it. The room was very clean and we loved the double shower heads!

“westin stay”

I loved This hotel! Very nice staff, very convenient location, but would've enjoyed a better view from my room for the price. I would most definitely recommend this hotel to others. The only thing I didn't like was that we couldn't do a late check out.

“Easy access to Seaport Village and Gaslamp”

Very clean and comfortable. Great views. Staff was wonderful. Easy walking distance to tons of restaurants. It's a little more angled for business travelers, but certainly was nice for us leisure folks.

“Conference Attendee”

This was a very nice hotel and the staff were very accomodating to help me arrange outings for groups of conference attendees at local restaurants. My two minor complaints are that I don't think for this money you should have to pay $13/day to use the internet in your room ( you can get free service for 30 minutes in the lobby- but not exactly where I want to be to check a few work emails early in the AM or late at night. I also was surprised that there was no full length mirror in the room. The food seemed very expensive- even for a big city hotel. But the location is great- within walking distance of many restaurants and shops and the staff were very nice. Overall a good place to stay.

“Not worth the price.”

They have many hidden fees. Deluxe room is not 'deluxe' and the bay view .. Gives you the view of a bunch of buildings not the bay. You can get something better compared to their rates.

“Very Nice Hotel”

We were here for a wedding. The convenience of the location was great, because it was walking distance to the shopping centers such as the grocery stores, the Horton Plaza, etc. Also the staff here at the Westin were very nice.

“Wonderful!”

From the moment we were picked up by the shuttle, we were impressed with the polite demenor of the staff. The room had a spectacular view of San Diego and it surpassed our expectations. We were here to see the Padres and do a bit of sightseeing. Everything you could need is within walking distance-but coming home to a beautiful room made leaving the hotel hard! Kudos to the entire staff on recomendations to various resturants and sights...you made our stay that much more fun!

Area recommendations
Gaslamp District has lots of resturants and bars...area is great for nightlife and great food!
When to go
Best time to go is in late September or early October-the weather is great, fog burns off early and best of all...it isn't as crowded as in the summer! Battle of the Paddle was less than an hour drive north in Dana Point and it was a fun day! Try a day trip to Coronado-beautiful streets and views...if I win the lottery I am moving here!

“Noisy and lousy HVAC”

Every door that closes on your floor, the floor above, or the floor below will be heard thoughout your stay. If you are there on a Saturday night, it is torture. The HVAC is anemic.
