This motel is quite close to the SeaWorld which is the reason we chose it.

Central location but strip malls in all directions

Posted Jul 2, 2015
Pros: STAFF STAFF STAFF ... FINALLY PRICE
Cons: CAN YOU MOVE IT?
Location: Local to everything important. You may not be able to see it, but you can drive to it relatively easy: Sea World; Gaslight; Old Town; Buster's ...
Great, professional staff. Extremely attentive; good follow up; great personalities. The single bright spots of this location. Hate the location of the pool, but where else could you put it on a land locked location like this? Zero scenic value to a lovely city like San Diego. The on line promo picture is misleading. We could not figure have the even got the angle from the parking lot.

Close to shops, but terrible service.

Posted Jul 2, 2015
Pros: Well, they did cleaned room and changed the towels.
Cons: They can always provide the number of an actual taxi company and call an exterminator once in awhile.
Location: The restaurant, Phill's BBQ is awesome. They have the best ribs I've tasted. One warning, the line is long and tends to wrap around the building.
TL;DR: No shuttle service, front desk has a take-it-or-leave-it attitude, wifi disconnects constantly, and share room with bug friends. Check out Yelp, it sums it up nicely. Prior to our arrival at San Diego, we called to see if a shuttle can pick us up. We called ahead 3 times, stressing the point that we needed a shuttle at 3, each time, they said that they had us us covered. We land and first thing I do, I check if the shuttle has arrived. It didn't. It was on a mail run and will return shortly. We waited for them to call us back. 90 minutes and 2 angry phone calls later we hailed a taxi. We checked in at 4:45 and moved into the room -- typical economic room you'll expect. Tried to connect to the wifi. The lag I got was unreal and I got disconnected, constantly. We then found a spider in the tub, so that was fun. When night rolled around, we crawled under the sheets-- and crawled back out not ten minutes later and put on some sweats and long sleeves since something was nibbling and making us itch. Next day we wanted to head to Sea World. We checked with the front desk and found out that their shuttle is off at the airport. And it doesn't run until closing. The front desk then told us they can call a cab. Okay, better than waiting on the shuttle. We wait and this unmarked black car pulls up. No meter inside. We arrived and he charged us $15 for a $9 trip. We found an actual cab to take us back. We decided to rely on the metro busses after that.

Great location

Pros: The laundry facility was clean and the washers and dryers seemed new.
Cons: The hotel seems understaffed. The shuttle driver/bellman also serves as front desk staff, and we never saw the shuttle bus move.
We booked this hotel due to its proximity to the Valley View Casino Center and Seaworld. The location did not disappoint, we were close to restaurants and transportation. The only downside was an offensive odor near the Red Lobster across the street. I do not think it's an odor caused by the restaurant and can be avoided by keeping a good distance from that corner of the block. The hotel itself served its purpose. We booked the Junior Suite which was spacious and clean. It was difficult to keep the bedroom cool. The A/C unit in the living room was too small to keep both spaces cool, the suite had a fan in the wall between the living room and bedroom which helped however, the fan was noisy. The check in staff was very friendly. We did encounter some front desk staff during our stay who seemed bored/annoyed to be there. Also, the gift shop attendant/cashier couldn't be torn away from his phone. He played pool on his phone the entire time I was there, including while ringing me up, taking my money and giving me change.

Nice hotel

Posted Jun 27, 2015
Pros: Clean rooms.
Cons:
We booked hotel for overnight stay following day of sailing out of San Diego harbor. Finding lobby for check in a little confusing. Be aware there is a $10 per night parking fee that has been in effect since 1/1/15, but is not mentioned until check in.

Don't stay here unless you are desperate

Posted Jun 18, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything. The only good thing is that it was pretty clean o the inside; the outside was nasty
Terrible Environment, Depressing. I did not sleep all night as I did not feel safe. Bad area.

Cheep place.

Posted Jun 13, 2015
We stayed 3 nights and 4 days, all rooms had smell in them, like old not dry close, I think they washed the carpet and didn't dry it all the way. The staff change are room with no problems, first room had roof leak. The hot tub was same temp as pool, so it never had 102°. So over all its ☆☆ but for good staff I give them ☆☆☆, but the hotel it's self is ☆☆.

Needs Updating

Posted Jun 12, 2015
Pros: It was close to Sea World, that's why we stayed there and it was a reasonable price.
Cons: Updating
The carpet was very dirty. We had to wear socks all the time or lay towels on the floor to walk on. The fold out bed had no cushioning, you could feel, every metal spring. The hotel really needs a lot of updating. And not very much security..
