Great location with viewsPosted Mar 5, 2014
Pros: The close proximity to all the best things in San Diego makes this hotel very appealing. It is priced at a great value.
Cons: The onsite restaurant must reupholster the chairs! Ugh.
Location: Gas Lamp district, zoo, ship tours, embarcadero, cruise ships, airport, 3-story mall.
This hotel is clean and contemporary. The staff is superb. The onsite bar and grill is very good.

Great viewsPosted Mar 4, 2014
Overall I enjoyed my stay. The pub downstairs has a great selection of beers and good food. I was disappointed to find out they are renovating the rooms so there was a lot of loud noises and construction.

A convenient airport stop-over.Posted Mar 3, 2014
We stayed here as we had a lay-over on our return from Mexico to Alaska and this was one of the more reasonably priced hotels near the airport and downtown. It is adequate but not much more than that. We were in the South tower and when we walked in, there were towels all over the hall floor trying to soak up the rain-water that had leaked in from the previous nights storm. The portions of the hotel we saw were old and in need of a remodel, but the room was clean enough and the bedding was quite comfortable. We were late arriving so we decided to eat at the Pub just off the main lobby. The food was average hotel fair at best but the waiter was excellent. Excellent to the point that both my wife and I were left scratching our heads and wondering what the heck he was doing working in a hotel pub/restaurant. The free shuttle running every 15 minutes starting at 5:15 was very convenient and saved a ten dollar taxi ride. When I return to San Diego I'll do a little more homework and find someplace else to stay.

Excellent Bay view!Posted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: The location near downtown, the San Diego Bay, cruise ships, etc.
Cons: They were making renovations in the hotel, so they are on their way to more improvements!
Location: Excellent restaurant choices, sightseeing, cruise ships, Star of India, Little Italy - all within walking distance!
Truly enjoyed our 2 days and nights here! The accommodations were perfect! The pillows and bedding were particularly nice! comfortable!! would stay here again!!

Nice hotel near waterfrontPosted Mar 2, 2014
Pros: My room was very quiet. It was a large room with a King bed. The bed was located farthest away from door. Nice balcony. Very comfortable bed/pillows.
Location: Near the waterfront and trolley stop. Near USS Midway. Near seafood restaurants. Hotel restaurants convenient.
I stayed at this hotel for 2 days. It was within 7-10 minute walk from trolly stop. I went to see USS Midway and walked back about 15 min to hotel. Hotel has a complementary shuttle to the airport and to some tourist destinations at designated times that makes it easy to tour. I took the 5.00am shuttle to airport that was very convenient. You can hear the planes take off and land at airport nearby but the noise stops around 10.00pm when airport closes for the day. It was quiet during sleep time.

Well located hotel with courtesy airport shuttlePosted Feb 27, 2014
Pros: The convenient location and the courtesy airport shuttle.
Cons: The noise from the pub on the hotel ground floor on Saturday night and the emergency grooming kit should include toothpaste.
Location: Visit the Midway.
The staff were welcoming and the airport shuttle ran on time. The hotel faces the bay with easy access to the Midway section of San Diego. The room was clean and consistent with industry standards for size, furnishings and facilities. There was no refrigerator in the room, but there was an ice making machine on the floor. There were no standard in-house dining facilities possibly due to refurbishment of the ground floor that was taking place during my visit which meant no hotel dinning room breakfast. Room service was available, the pub on the ground floor served food and there were three nearby dinning options, none of which appealed to me.
