Cons: An on site restaurant would be convenient, and a better selection of TV channels.
Location: The location is right on the bay. Museums to see, transit trollies were convenient. A long stretch of walking on the pier, lots of interesting stores
Upper levels had a nice view. I was pleasantly surprised with the room. Very quiet and comfortable. The location was convenient and easy to access. Lots to see and do nearby. The elevator was quick and we didn't have to wait long for it to come to our floor. Walking distance to many stores and restaurants.

Ok hotel, great view

The area and view are great, but did expect a bit more of comfort in the rooms. The rooms are very spacious, but not cozy or inviting at all, they are rather cold. The furniture is not old, but could use a remodeling. For the price and area I would've expected a bit more I booked this hotel for the Shuttle service to the airport but, the shuttle began later than my flight so I had to take a cab. Not expensive though, only 10 dlls

Under construction - don't go!

Pros: Good location, walking distance to many things. Might have been good without the construction.
Cons: The hotel should close during the construction rather than ruining its customers' vacations and their own reputation.
Location: Within walking distance of harbor, Seaport Village, Midway, etc.
The hotel is undergoing significant construction which we were not told about in advance. There is constant jack-hammering during the day that made staying in the hotel unbearable. The breakfasts and cocktail receptions are held in a plastic covered mezzanine - not the relaxing atmosphere I was anticipating after staying at other Embassy Suites. We checked out after 3 nights of our 6 night stay. I wish we had checked out right away but we were too tired from our many hours of travelling. We should have been warned in advance but we were not. I overheard one customer complaining to the manager and the manager saying they had sent out email "blasts" about the construction as though it were the customer's fault for not checking their email. We did not receive any email notification.

Convenient, Affordable and a Good Choice!

Pros: We liked the comfortable bed and pillows, the large shower, convenient location, free shuttle to airport
Cons: larger sink/counter area in bathroom, on-site restaurant (especially for breakfast)
Location: bayfront has shopping, boat rides, retired airplane carrier museum, great restaurants, all within walking distance
I stayed here with my spouse after a two-day conference. It was a great choice as it was convenient to the many activities along the bay and we could walk everywhere. The room was clean and recently remodeled. Loved the large shower and super comfy bed with awesome pillows. The pool looked really nice, although we didn't have time for it. The hotel doesn't have an on-site restaurant, and that was a bummer. You can purchase, wine, coffee, snacks, etc. at a small convenience area in the lobby. The free shuttle to the airport was a fabulous surprise. iIt runs every half-hour and the staff was friendly and nice. I would recommend this hotel for sure.

Each Staff Will Give A Different Answer

The inconsistencies began before we even arrived. 1st my dad was told there was no shuttle to MCRD, when I called 10 mins later I was told there was a shuttle. 2nd upon arrival we were told by the front desk staff the shuttle picked up from MCRD at 5:15pm. The driver told us the shuttle pick up time was 5:30pm. Other guests with us were told 5pm by the manager. The shuttle didn't come at any of those times. Instead we were forgotten. 3 of us called & the shuttle finally showed up at 5:47pm. The manager was not apologetic and treated us as if we were an inconvenience. 3rd we were told twice prior to arrival & the day of arrival that there were no additional rooms available (completely booked). The second day there we inquired again and were told there were several rooms available. Lastly, the airport shuttle driver dropped us off at the baggage claims instead ofor departure. The hotel is nice but the customer service is horrible.
