This is a posh/splurge hotel. Very high tech room. The bathroom is an experience itself. Awesome shower. Great staff who are ultra professional but not the least bit snooty like some fancy hotels.
I cut myself and needed a bandage. I swear someone was at my for with a BandAid in less than sixty seconds!

We stayed there for our anniversary and really enjoyed the beautiful views of the bay. The staff was really helpful and congratulated us on our anniversary every time we talked to them. They even sent chocolate covered strawberries and champagne to our room! We look forward to visiting again soon.

Lovely spacious room . Our room was right next to the elevator and we never heard a sound from it or anything in the hallway. The room furnishings were very nice and very well kept . In fact they looked quite new. The bathroom was very current and towels were also quite lovely.( nothing was showing any signs of wear)
The location of the hotel was perfect for us. It was walking distance to many places we wanted to visit ( although the hills are not for the faint of heart)
We also took advantage of the cable car line a very short distance away

My husband and I wanted a get-away hotel and certainly got it here! Completely relaxing with wonderful views, a coastal walking trail, golf if you want it, fabulous breakfast buffet, stellar bathroom, and super-comfy beds. Sitting on the ocean terrace with a glass of wine or cup of hot chocolate was laid-back and great for people-watching. We didn't want to leave!

We had an amazing stay at the Intercontinental. When I was looking at reviews before we went we found out the President had stayed there a couple of weeks ago. When we checked in my son asked the front desk how many rooms were in the room the President stayed in. They offered to provide us with a tour of the suite if we came back when it was free. The kids (7 and 10) made sure that we checked back to see if that offer was still available. When the room was clean they called our room and let us know that we could come and see it. While we were waiting to go take a look Albania (the lady from the front desk) had a chilled canister of milk and cookies delivered to our room for the kids! They thoroughly enjoyed their tour and were even given special memory books to document all of their special moments from their trip. As a result we had a amazing dinner out that night. The kids wrote in their memory books about the trip while waiting for their food to arrive and my husband and I enjoyed a glass of wine while the kids told us all about the fun they were having on their first trip to San Francisco. Your staff were amazing, we will be back---to bad we won't be staying in the suite next time!!!
