“The best hotel in downtown”

The room is comfortable,and the location is converience, the price is cheap.

“Great bargain & basic hotel”

I read the reviews before I booked the reservation and thought I would be ready for a no-frills basic hotel. I have to admit that even when I got there with that mindset, I was dissapointed. The hotel is an older building (limit 5 person elevator, 4 with luggage) and the breakfast is basic (toast, blueberry muffins, coffee, tea and watery orange juice), but the cleanliness of the room is excellent and the staff is really friendly. The location is within walking distance to everything and is in a decent neighborhood (2 blocks west gets a little scary at night). Overall, I was happy and I will probably stay there again next time I visit San Francisco.

A nice place to stay. Nicer than other places I stayed that were twice the money. The murals on the walls in the rooms were pretty overwhelming at first, but they grew on me. The bathroom was pretty big, and very clean. All in all I would definitely stay here again!

“Good Hotel for the Price”

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and were fairly satisfied with our stay. The desk clerks were all incredibly friendly, despite our 1am arrival time. They offered some services for the city, but were not incredibly pushy when we turned down the offers. Our only complaint with the maintenance would be a slightly frightening elevator which was an experience to take up to our 7th floor room. Our only disappointment with our room was the size, which was very cozy, but the basic hotel room amenities were provided. The Internet hookup with a desk in room was very nice as well. We wouldn't recommend walking by yourself late at night as the area borders one of the seeder areas of town but we felt fine paired up. We would recommend this hotel to those on a budget. The access to Union Square, bus line, and cable cars were convenient, but walking up hill daily from Union Square was one of the unavoidable hastles of the city. Good staff, good hotel, a recommend in our book.

“Loved It”

The location was amazing-3 blocks from Union Sqaure, 4 blocks from Chinatown, 6 blocks from the Cable Cars and SFMOMA, and about a 30 minute walk to Fisherman's Wharf! The Value was incredible-excellent maidservice. My only complaints are that the Wireless reception didn't reach to our room (6th floor) so we had to go to the lobby to use it, and the "Continental Breakfast" consisted of small muffins and white bread with a toaster. Becomes monotonous after a few days (We stayed for eight)-but if money isn't a huge issue there are several places to get breakfast including the Inferno Restaurant attatched to the lobby. The Panini's are delicious, by the way!

“Wonderful Boutique Hotel !”

This lovely hotel was ALL it was advertised to be - outstanding location, beautiful decor, very clean with a charming European feel. Close to all SF modes of transportation that we needed to make our trip flow. I won't return to beautiful San Francisco without staying there again, and recommend it highly to value-minded travelers like us.
