In the ghetto

Posted Mar 11, 2014
Horrible, bathrooms and showers are outside of the room and theres no parking so you have to pay 25 extra dollars for a car parking a couple blocks down. After all price is the same as a nice hotel. Not worth the price you pay

Slum

Posted Nov 23, 2013
Pros: The only good thing is the price and it was the only option as I was looking short notice.
Cons: Tear down and rebuild
Location: walkable distance to better areas
It's an old hotel on the edge of the bad part of town. I didn't really mind the location even though it was fairly bad. The room had a dripping ceiling in the bathroom shower, old tv with no remote control, noisy and the floor creak when you walk on them.

Good ONLY for their price

Posted Sep 15, 2013
Pros: The price is quite cheap for the city. The location is central and close to everything.
Cons: Lots of!! But I don't expect to better for that price.
Location: The location is central, few steps from transit. Downtown and the Financial District are very close. Metreon Mall, AMC Theatres and lots of staff
If you want to pay only $90/night like I did then you have to accept the condition of the hotel. Rooms are small, washrooms are very small and don't have a sink. 3 washrooms are shared by many rooms (they have private washrooms for higher prices). The shower is also very small. For the breakfast expect only a coffee and a donut. The bed is old, shaking and noising. For the WIFI you have to go to the lobbies because the signal doesn't reach upstairs. If you're looking only for a place to sleep to during your stay or looking to discover San Francisco with lower budgets, then you may find this place ok for you. Check the hotel prices!!! The location is central few steps from the BART station, the Muni light train and few blocks from the Powell St. line of the cable car. There are LOTS of homeless in the area but they seem friendly.

. Very bad.

Posted Sep 3, 2013
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Location: Near visitor center. Lot of construction in area.
Outside is covered with drug Addicts. Not a Family Hotel. No bathrooms or showers in room. No parking. Wifi only works in Lobby. Price way too high for very old place. Carpet in elevators on wall? You hear screaming and sirens all night.

The worst hotel experience!

Posted Aug 18, 2013
Pros: Nothing!
Cons: Everything!
Location: The worst location! Not safe!
Zero upkeep, noisy, old furnishings, in the worst part of town, the hotel demands you leave you key at the front desk but won't assume responsibility for lost items. No in room Internet service, noisy and rents rooms with community shared bathrooms and showers. The continental breakfast is coffee and donuts. There is no on site parking as it is three blocks away and costly.

Not as Nice as You'd Think

Posted Aug 13, 2013
If the website is a Glamour Shot photo, then the reality is what we look like in the morning. The building dates back to 1912 and it shows. There is a pervasive seediness to the place. Not dirty, just old and tired. Evenings in SF get a little chilly even in summer, but the radiated heater cannot be controlled in the room and mine was off. The TV had no remote, but as it only got about 5 or 6 channels, surfing doesn't take long. I couldn't get the wifi signal in the room. The neighborhood is run down, the surrounding buildings were mostly boarded up. There were no convenience stores, shops or restaurants. There were many homeless people outside. If you need a place to stay on business and you don't have a big budget, you can get by here. Families on vacation will be put off by the neigborhood and lack of amenities.

Basic but do- able

Posted May 29, 2013
Very basic accommodation though was in a great location close to all shopping... Shared bathrooms and toilets but both were fairly well maintained...Sunday night had phat beats playing at some club near by and was really loud, otherwise mostly quite. Wouldn't recommend staying in warm months as the room had no ac or fans and was fairly stuffy.
