Reasonably priced motel in good location

Posted Jun 9, 2014
While this walk-up style hotel is aging, it's clean, safe, and reasonably priced. Recommended if you just want a decent inexpensive place to stay that's close to everything. Note it's not very sound proofed so you're liable to be woken up in the night by trucks and ranting street people if you're a light sleeper.

Good hotel, bad location, horrible staff

Posted Jun 8, 2014
When I arrived to the hotel, the staff claimed that I have not reserved the room. I showed him the Expedia confirmation but he refused to let me in!! He said that Expedia has not sent him my info and hence I cannot stay there. I called Expedia but unfortunately, after waiting more than 15min no one replied back, due to "unforeseen # of calls"!! Suddenly, the staff said that I can stay in the hotel and he will resolve the issue with Expedia. I guess he found the mistake from his side... The room was good and clean. Here are the down sides though: 1) No fridge 2) Only 2 cup of coffees which were not refilled the next day. The breakfast was horrible. There was no place to sit. The guy stared at us all the time that we wanted to pick the food. The breakfast time was even worse: 8:30am - 9:30am. One day we came at 9am and almost everything was gone!! No refilling!! We wanted to check out at 7:15am but the front desk was closed! We knocked on the door for 5 minutes till the staff came wearing shorts. He opened a small window and asked for the keys and the credit card. He did not even open the front desk door. It was quite offensive. If you want some respect, this is not a place to go. If you only care about cleanness of the room and can tolerate stupid and rude behavior, you may book this hotel.

Clean rooms unfriendly staff

This place wasn't super close to anything. Our room was clean but the front desk guy was so unfriendly it was almost enough reason not to stay at this hotel. He want you to re use the keurig K cups multiple times when they are clearly single serving containers. He is so cheap he will argue with anyone about how many times you can use the k cup. Pretty trivial.

WORST HOTEL

Posted May 25, 2014
Charged us for a room knowing the card holder (my gf) was not old enough to rent. Then does nothing but insult us and tell us we weren't getting our money back. I'll put it this way. Never got a room and never got a refund. Definitely does not know how to treat customers.

You get what you pay for...

Front desk isn't so friendly. There is a smell in the room that kind of stays on your clothing. Did not have a problem finding parking, and it was free - which is a huge plus. Location was great.

Reeks of Pinesol

Posted May 19, 2014
We actually refused to stay here because the room reeked of Pinesol and the dead bolt did not work. The manager was very rude, although he did let us cancel the reservation.

Staff is horrible there is no room for parking!

Posted May 19, 2014
Pros: The room was great. The area is right in the middle of down SF. Across the street is a subway that's awesome. You can walk to Market st in like 5 mins
Cons: The staff needs improvement big time. The women are mean. The men are ok.
Location: There is homeless everywhere. Don't walk down Golden St if you can help it. The location isn't far for the piers. Close to the mall and cable cars.
When we got the lady a the window was kind of rude. Not friendly at all. She kept a scowl on her face the entire time we signed papers. She was very non social and unpleasant. They take out a 200.00 refundable deposit on the room at check in. Which was returned the day we checked out. The parking is very limited and if you have a big car forgot about parking at the hotel. The hotel was nice I wish the staff had been more pleasant.

Good hotel for downtown area.

Could be a little bit far from the civic centre on foot. Good room and staff. Easy to find out the hotel. Hi-speed Internet? Well.... Hmm..

They did not even let us stay in their hotel...

Posted May 4, 2014
Pros: nothing
Cons: the attitude of the staff
My friend and I are students traveling in the US so we do not have a California ID. Yet we had a US university student ID with photos and the same name shown on my debit card. The hotel staff refused to let us stay even when we already paid the fees. He was very rude and would not refund us.He seemed impatient to explain to us and understand our circumstances. He simply told us to read the sign on the window and only started explaining to us when we asked him to. We have stayed in many other inns before and this have never happened. We ended up ten o'clock in San Francisco trying to look for a place to stay. When we finally found an inn the person there told us that photo IDs were acceptable.
