There are better hotels for about the same price.Posted Nov 3, 2013
Pros: The only thing we liked is it was close to the hospital where my husband was having surgery the next day.
Cons: Explained above.
Location: The location is about half way between San Francisco and San Jose.
The proprietor was abrupt and told us that we made two reservations for two different rooms. I assured him that I booked just one room for my husband and myself. He gave the impression that we had made a mistake, but he would only charge us for one room. But, he gave me a number for America's Best Value Inn and said "I" would need to call them to cancel the other reservation. When I finally got through, I was told that I had only had the 1-room reservation and that I better call Expedia, as the mistake might have been with them. When I called Expedia, they assured me that I had just the one reservation. Big hassle over nothing. The room was very noisy, due the the El Camino location. There were two pictures on the walls in the room. Both were entirely crooked, placed much too high, and on one of them, the picture had slid out of the matt so that the bottom was hanging behind the mat and three inches of glass was on the top. Simple things to fix and would not even cost the hotel money to do so.

Nice location, low pricePosted Oct 16, 2013
A very nice place, very good if you want to tour the city without paying too much. The train is about 15-20 minutes walk and there's also plenty of room to prk if you rent a car. Very nice staff. The breakfast is very modest, bring your own food or eat outside. In summary, for such a low price it's a great place

We needed a Place to stay before we fly back home. This Motel was cheap und clean, but simple. The Street was very loud and there is Not a lot of Parking-Place. The stuff was very nice, the breakfast simple.

Not bad and fairly cheap for the areaPosted Oct 11, 2013
Pros: price, convenience.
Cons: screen in bathroom missing & a couple other very small repairs needed.
Big room, not too noisy, but a little trash left on the table, and a slightly decrepit bathroom.

Close to a lot places.Posted Oct 8, 2013
Pros: I really liked the room. Equipped with plenty of things making it almost feel like a real home.
Cons: The channels on the television, I felt that there wasn't enough.
Location: Well it's in the bay area and not to far from other citys. Just take the highway and you are in San Mateo with plenty of to do. Many stores to shop in
We got there and the staff was really nice. The breakfast was pretty good. Though during the night a family accidently walked into our room due to a little mistake but we didn't care. Overall a good stay if only staying a couple nights.

A calm place to get your groove back.Posted Sep 13, 2013
Pros: The check in guy and I believe his spouce for giving me fork & spoon. Getting to use a can opener was a relief to use, silly I know.
Cons: Better windows that kept the train & traffic noise out.
Location: Loads of places to go & shop for food or anything else.
Stayed here util I could move into my apartment. This reminded me of a updated Motel 6 that as a kid my family stayed in when we when traveling with Greyhound. I really liked it.

San Carlos Motel,Posted Sep 12, 2013
Pros: The linens were all clean.
Cons: Everything I mentioned above
Location: Stayed there because the location was close to family.
This motel needs a good fixer up. The room was clean however it looked like they tried to put too much furniture in it. The breakfast (if you can call it that) was disappointing and minimal. Bagels (too small) got stuck in the toaster and no hot food at all. Didn't want to even go in the hot tub. Secreted away in a small claustrophobic room all by itself. Was worried about parking in the back of the building because I was by myself and it was dark. I would not go there again.

Most excellent place to stay for cheap in the area. Its very clean and the staff is friendly. They have smoking rooms available as well if that's your thing, which is sort of a rarity in this territory. I paid an average of $80 a night whenever I stayed here; definitely worth the money for the location.

DisappointedPosted Aug 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
Asked for non smoking do to breathing problems.Room next door was a smoking room and a man was outside smoking. Our room smelled like it had been a smoking room. We were offered a can of spray to help. Asked for different room. We were told there were none left. Decided to find another hotel. A kind guest checking in at the same time came to me while I was loading the car and offered to trade rooms. He said he didn't want us to have to look for another room so late in the day Thanks Wiley...You deserve a 5☆ rating!!!
