Anniversary SurprisePosted Apr 23, 2014
Pros: The atmosphere and the friendly staff. The location was perfect!
Cons: Parking was too expensive so we chose not to bring a car. Came close to picking a different hotel just because of that!
Location: Right on the Warf near the Cannery and Buena Vista two of our favorite places. Good restaurants within walking distance.
I surprised my wife with a trip to San Francisco, her favorite city for our anniversary. We loved the hotel and spent three days in total relaxation and bliss. We will return!

Great hotel in a great location.Posted Apr 23, 2014
Pros: I liked the ambiance because it'a a converted warehouse so the rooms are very spacious.
Cons: no suggestions
Location: The hotel is right on the fisherman's wharf so there are many things to do.
The actual hotel is a converted warehouse that has very spacious rooms and a unique historic ambiance. The location is optimal and the overall experience of staying there is very pleasant so I definitely recommend it.

Nice place although the thermostat would not allow continuous airflow and seemed to shut off at midnight. Since no windows could be opened, made the room a little stuffy in the middle of the night. Other than that, very nice, clean, friendly staff.

Spring is herePosted Apr 22, 2014
Cons: Throw out the beds and get new mattresses that are in keeping with what the Hotel costs.
Location: Lots of easy walks and close to the transit stations and Fishermans Wharf.
My wife and I have stayed at the Argonaut several times before but will look for another hotel for the next visit. I had a mishap with a tree while skiing and was nursing some sore ribs and the beds were far from comfortable. I thought it was just us but talked to another couple from England and they voiced the same concern. I do not recall the beds being this uncomfortable during prior visits. The location is by far one of the best if you want to be close to the water and like the access to easy walking. When I returned home I talked to my company accountant (Who I had directed to the Argonaut last month) and she advised that they had not been happy with the beds. If location is the thing you are after, then the Argonaut is the place. If it is a good nights sleep then you should look elsewhere.

In the heart of the actionPosted Apr 22, 2014
Pros: Very helpful staff - the doorman handed me a towel and a cold bottle of water when I came back from my run.
Cons: Restaurant v expensive for what you got. Smoke alarm had annoying red flashing light.
Location: Couldn't be better positioned for Fishermans Wharf area. 50m to the cable car, 200ish to the F-line trolley. Lovely walk to the Golden Gate
We're a family of 4 who stayed in a twin double bedded room. The room was big enough for all of us. The staff were hospitable and eager to help. For the location and size of room the price was ok, but the restaurant and minibar were expensive.

Lovely themed hotel in Fisherman's Wharf.Posted Apr 22, 2014
Pros: Themed and child friendly. Close to attactions.
Cons: Room and window small, not worth the £ for the small view of the bay. Noisy room with fan, plumbing and one of the beds which creaked & groaned.
Location: Fisherman's Wharf, aquarium, sea lions on Pier 39, Golden Gate and Alcatraz.
Great location, we had twin Queen Beds, with bay view.

Great location for families.Posted Apr 18, 2014
Great hotel and location! We rented bikes and road in the nearby parks and made our way across the Golden Gate Bridge. Concierge was outstanding and made great dinner recommendations. We enjoyed our stay by the wharf. Parking is around 50 per day so be warned!
