"Decompressing after Xmas with family"
Love that they provide bathrobes in the room!!! The bath salts provided were a nice touch too. Overall it was the perfect relaxing getaway after our families were done stressing us out about not visiting enough and not making any babies. If I'm being really picky, I didn't love that we were in an ADA room. The shower had a weird chair thing in it and I had a weird feeling that there was someone staying in the hotel who needed that room more than me. There were also a TON of $8 snacks and beverages on the counter tops, which kind of just got in the way because I was not there to binge on junk food in my hotel room. Being right there in Japan town was amazing, and being so close to the mall and so many good places to eat was so convient. Next time I will plan ahead and book some spa treatments. They were all booked when I tried to get something same day. My fault on that one. I will defenitly be staying here again!

I traveled with my boyfriend and we did not take kids. The decor is fascinating in the lobby, aka "living room". There were international travelers and the staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

"Great location"
Staff was great and welcoming. Carlos went above and and beyond with some last minute additions I added for our anniversary. Few blocks from Union Square, lots of food, art galleries, lounges, and night clubs in the area all walking distance. Check out all the lounges inside the hotel. Only thing is at night its a little noisey on weekends because of the dinner and party scene, but it started to die down around 230a when everything was shut down.

"Wonderful Stay!"
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Inn at Union Square January 9th-11th, 2015. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the hotel at 8:30am that our room was already ready for check in! That was our first of many pleasant surprises during our stay. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and informative about San Francisco (it was both of our first time to the city). The friendly woman at the front desk handed us a map and gave us lots of helpful tips of what to do during our stay and how to get around. When she asked what we were in town for, I mentioned that it was both my boyfriend and I’s birthdays on the 11th. When we returned to our hotel room that evening, there was a bottle of champagne and a happy birthday note waiting in our room. The rooms are very cozy and clean. We also thought the bed was so comfortable!! Each morning there is a complimentary breakfast with juices, coffee, cereal, oatmeal, fruits and various breakfast pastries. We really enjoyed grabbing a bagel and coffee and starting our day. Also in the evenings they have complimentary wine and cheese, which is great!! The hotel is small (I think about 20 or so rooms), so they really pay attention to each person who is staying in the hotel. We really loved this hotel, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is going to San Francisco!!

"Beautiful, historic hotel best deal around"
The hotel was beautiful though they are undergoing construction. When you arrive, you take a step back in time to a more ornate dat. My room was very quiet and had an ok view. The bed linens and other expected amenities were superb. We are not greeted by the valet nor the staff with much urgency, but the front desk people were nice.
