Hot and noisyPosted Oct 21, 2014
No AC. Needed to open windows at night to cool down. The city noise kept us up all night: fights, traffic, car alarms, sirens, etc.

Old and tinyPosted Oct 21, 2014
Tiny room, old furniture, the worst view ever (brick wall right in front). It's a two-star hotel, really, not a three-star. Not wroth the money, regardless of its location.

DisappointedPosted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: The staff tried their best.
Cons: Probably the best thing to do is to tear the building down and start again.
Location: Location is interesting and lots to do and see. This is probably why this particular hotel exists!
The hotel is old, dark, shabby, and could be compared to a rabbit warren. The staff was the good part of our experience at the hotel. Grossly over priced even though location is central. The hotel relies on its location rather than any quality as a good hotel. We tried to spend as little time in the hotel as we could.

Comfortable, no air conditioner, better rate for parking then other hotels. Staff friendly and helpful. Close to everything.

Good Location, served its purpose.Posted Oct 6, 2014
The room was teeny tiny but was fine for a weekend stay. I had a corner queen room and it had a closet which was nice to keep luggage out of my way. The bathroom was ridiculously small but the decor was cute and the deep bathtub made up for it. There was no AC, no ice machine, no breakfast in the morning, and really, no frills. I would really only recommend this hotel if you aren't planning on being there much and you just want a decent place to sleep it's perfect for that.

Nice hotel right in the middle of everythingPosted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: The only problem I really had was the fact everyone on the floor could hear every thing in each others rooms. There wasn't a lot of sound proofing.
The hotel staff was very friendly and I absolutely love that allow animals!

Business trip for a ConferencePosted Oct 4, 2014
This is an old hotel located very close to the best part to stay at San Francisco, close to Union Square. Is a good relationship between cost and facilities alternative if you are looking for a "just sleep". It's clean, safety, good internet, close to many restaurant but room are so tiny that is not comfortable if you need to spend much time inside.

Old and tiredPosted Sep 4, 2014
The hallways stunk of old wet carpet. There's no fridge in the room and the size of the bathroom was tiny. The bedhead was torn and tattered and there was nothing to watch on tv. The only redeeming feature was that the beds were comfortable. It was kind of depressing to come back to this hotel at night.

Pros: Great location and nice staff.
Cons: The rooms need renovating. Fresh curtains and bed sheets would make a world of difference. The carpet was also looking a bit worn.
Location: Very close to Union Square. Only a couple of miles from the bay. A few blocks away is the BART train that can take you straight to the airport.
Great location near Union Square. The pictures looked better online than the rooms did in real life. The bed skirt and curtains had holes, and the place felt a bit rundown. They spent more money on the upkeep of the lobby than the rooms guests stay in. The staff is nice and friendly.

Easy to walk to most attractionsPosted Aug 31, 2014
The rooms are small and there is a feeling of history to the place but it was comfortable and the staff was very helpful.
