Evidently there is new management at CitiGarden from when I stayed on 8 other times. You took out the charm of the sitting room and replaced it with hard surface tables and chairs. The chairs and sofa need replacing I would not want my grandparents sitting in them. The breakfast is really scimpy. You are a hotel why not treat your guests right. Having a Costco down the street should be a convenient way to purchase more edible food-sweet rolls, fresh fruit, bagels, etc. Folks like to have fresh waffles so purchasing two waffle makers purchased at Costco would give your guest the feeling of home and have something warm to eat in addition to the boiled eggs.

Nice Concrete walls between rooms for quiet nights

Posted Dec 11, 2014
Pros: The thick concrete walls between rooms to block next door noise. The court yard is pleasant. The breakfast is quite nice.
Cons: Make everything clear at the hotel website, and respect and honor customers' reservation request. If the request can't be honored, cancel the booking
Location: Not much around other than a nice Chinese buffet restaurant.
1. When I made reservation, I requested a ground level room facing the courtyard. She assigned me a room upstairs facing the parking lot. She said I requested that in my reservation until I showed my copy of printout. She said if I want a room facing the courtyard, it will be $10 extra per night, which is called upgrade. The hotel should make it clear on the website that "standard room" means rooms facing the parking lot. 2. She said the ground level room was wet so she gave me the upstairs room, and I have bad knees and a senior citizen. She finally gave me a ground level room, but the AC and Heater do not work. They finally changed the room for me. 3. I stayed in this motel previously many times. There was no such thing as standard room and upgrades. 4. Rooms are clean, simple. Great for short stay if everything works.

NICE ENTRANCE OLD ROOM

Posted Oct 30, 2014
Pros: Coffee in lobby and garden area in center commons.
Cons: Room AC that works/gets cold. Upgrade fm local channels to cable with movies. Something for meat lovers on the cont breakfast. Paint trim of bldgs.
Location: Great location in SF bay area. Fisherman's Wharf etc 12 miles. Sanforan shopping center about 4 miles.
The curb appeal of the motel is nice. The lobby and meeting rooms look nice. The rooms are old and small. The garden area in the common is attractive and the coffee in the lobby is good. The cont. breakfast was pancakes and breads...no meat. I did not eat anything there. In short, this was like an old motel 6 that had been bought by a cheap investor. I will not be back.

Not a bad price

Posted Oct 29, 2014
Pros: Its most attractive feature for me is its proximity to the Holiday Inn N Airport Hotel (a parking lot separates the two).
I pretty much got what I paid for. Definitely a cut above the Travel Lodge, across the street, as far as cleanliness and fixtures.

Okay hotel

Posted Oct 27, 2014
Pros: price, airport shuttle
Cons: cleanliness of bed. The bed sheet is old.
Location: 15 minutes from SFO via airport shuttle. good.
The hotel is near airport so I could hear the airplanes landing and taking off in the middle of the night. I could also hear the cars running on highways. However, since I was so tired from a tour around SF, I could manage to fall into sleep. The breakfast was not decent but still edible with ego waffle, pancakes, and wheat bread, cereal, and quaker oatmeal. If you are sensitive to price, go for it. The bed is pretty comfy but the outermost sheet is old.

Loud too close to the airport

Posted Oct 22, 2014
Pros: The free breakfast was OK.
Cons: Better restaurant.
Location: Close to airport.
If you are a light sleeper this is NOT the hotel for you. The planes from the airport where taking off until after midnight and then started up again early in the morning. The food at the restaurant was not very good.

Pros: Location (close to the airport, allowing easy access to both downtown San Francisco and the peninsula.
Cons: Needs to be renovated and redecorated. The breakfast was hardly adequate in terms of variety and quality.
Old, with just the basic amenities, but clean and spacious rooms. Conveniently located right next to the airport, good for a short and affordable stay.
