“It was okay for me!”

I stayed at the Civic Center Inn for 4 nights. My room was clean...I watched HBO...Parking is available...a security guard was on duty all night long...not the best neighborhood in town, but it's quite acceptable. I enjoyed my stay and felt safe & secure the whole time. Get a room in front and you'll enjoy your stay at The Civic Center Inn, in beautiful San Francisco, California. The staff all are very friendly!

“They are improving the facility.”

The staff were very helpful, and the owners are improving the facility. It was very clean and the location is within walking distance to many attractions. The bed was the best ever.

“A great hotel for the money”

This hotel was cheap and only a few blocks from Union Square. The room had what you needed, a comfy bed and a hot shower. Best part, parking was free! The lady at the front desk was most helpful. My friends and I will stay here again. Happy Travels!

“Would Stay Here Again”

My boyfriend and I went to SanFran for the first time for a concert. We were only there one night. We got one of the remodeled rooms. The bathroom seemed brand new, clean and spacious. The actual room was really small, but we only needed it to get some sleep. We were out out most of the time. The area is not that great, however it wasn't as bad as I had expected (from other reviews). I did see a few bums, but not as bad as downtown L.A. Unless they were celebrating New Year's Eve at a homeless shelter. It would be nice if it had a mini-fridge and microwave. For the price, this hotel was great, I would stay here again.

“good for one night”

The only problem with the hotel room was the bathroom door didn't lock. Also the heater was not working. Other then that the room was very clean.

“Adequate but no AC”

Hotel is conveniently located to all major bus stops, shops, centers, museums, etc. Its clean, safe, and standard for what you pay. Phone didn't work in room and we were unlucky to get one of the rooms without AC in 95 degree weather. Other than that would stay here again. For the budget conscious!

“Bed Bugs”

Bed Bugs !!! Stay away from this place. I was bitten head to toe.

“Avoid this hotel.”

I walked from the BART to this Hotel and encountered two people outside with crack pipes smoking on the sidewalk. They weren't even trying to hide it. Upon checking in my hotel room had cigarette butts on the ground, paint peeling off the walls, no hangers in the closet, a mysterious brown/red liquid on the bed, no power outlets to charge phones, and black scuff marks all over the walls. It looked like someone had gotten in a fight in my room. I immediately went to the front desk and they gave me their no refund spiel, despite being there for less than an hour. I got on the phone with Expedia and the representative was SUPER helpful. WIthin about an hour and a half she had gotten me my refund and I checked into a Holiday Inn down the street. Expedia was great, but this hotel was a NIGHTMARE. To top it off, while I was on the phone with the Expedia representative, a hotel patron came downstairs, knowing I wasn't from SF he warned me that his friend had been robbed the night before and to avoid going a certain direction down the street at night. Horrible!

“nasty hotel”

Staynig at this hotel was a huge mistake. Our room had blistering paint, cracked floor tiles in the bath room, no screens on the windows and no air conditioning. The customers service was great but with a hotel that looked like that you need something. The surrounding area is not the best either, with a homeless shelter/ food bank across the street I had more interactions with the homeless in the area as I was trying to get to my car then anyone else on our trip.
