“Pleasantly surprised!”
This hotel was a great value. It was very clean and well maintained. The furnishings and decor were very up to date. Wifi was included as was a delicious breakfast. It is very centrally located - I walked to the shopping center with a grocery store, drug store, and several eating options. You would need transportation to get to the wharf area. This hotel exceeded my expectations.
“Best choice to start California 1 tour (SF-LA)”
I was surprised for the quality of this hotel. Clean, comfortable, quite and with a very nice staff. If you plan to start a California 1 tour really early, choose this hotel.
“Nice hotel.”
Nothing fancy, but very very clean and very comfortable. Just what we wanted. The price was also very reasonable.
“Wonderful place to rest!”
I really enjoy each time we say at this hotel. Their staff on a scale of 1-10 is a fifteen :) The rooms are comfy, well furnished and very clean. You can walt to the shops and resturants in town, as well as a convience/grocery/gas station across the street. The breakfast they serve is very good, and the staff works hard to make sure you have everything you need. Excellent Value, great comfort, super staff, close to everything. What more could ask for!
“Friendly n' Clean little Inn by the sea”
I chose this hotel based on Expedia's current reviews and found them all to be true. This is one of the best budget hotels I've ever experienced. First and foremost, my room was so clean and well-kept and beds were oh-so comfortable, in line with top hotels I've stayed in. The interiors were nice, homey, and well taken care of. Loved the continental breakfast with waffle maker, and the unlimited coffee and tea bar was available all day until 11pm which was a huge plus! All the staff I encountered were very friendly (loved those mints at the front counter) and I appreciate the fact that this is a "certified green" hotel from the amenities and blue recycle can in each room, to the cleaning products used to clean the rooms and wash the sheets. This is very impressive for a budget hotel. One reviewer commented about noise from Hwy. 1 outside the hotel, and although I noticed the noise when taking a little nap in the daytime, the noise was not noticable in the evening. In all, I will definitely stay at the Coastside Inn when next I visit Half Moon Bay.
“A good night's sleep”
The Inn is friendly, easily accessible to the surrounding attractions, moderately priced. I've stayed there many times, both with my husband and alone, while visiting family and always feel safe and comfortable. Will continue to use this facility.
“Great place to stay”
We booked this based on the Expedia reviews and certainly weren't disappointed. The motel was on the main road through town which did mean you were woken by traffic in the morning but as we were wanting breakfast that was fine! This could easily be resolved as well but fitting the door better and adding additional glazing. Breakast was excellent - waffles, fruit, danish, yoghurt, toast, cereal etc etc etc. Staff were lovely especially the manageress who I think it was on duty the first morning. Half Moon Bay itself it wonderful - visit the HMB Coffee Company or Peets for great coffee. The diner just up from the motel was excellent too. Would recommend this and if ever in the San Francisco area again, I'd definately re-book this.
“good stay”
Room ready on time, coffee and tea available in the lobby, nice breakfast, newspaper provided, clean room, prompt service when asking for internet password, internet easy to use, nice location, easy parking. Will stay here again.
“Okay stay”
The front desk was helpful and friendly. The room, very clean. We were disappointed that the front door to the room had to be opened to dispel the heat and steam after each shower since there was no fan and the small open window in the shower room didn't do the trick. There wasn't much counter space or hooks to hang things on. Road noise wasn't bad - especially considering we were right off Hwy 1! Parking was very close to the room. Overall, the stay was acceptable, but barely.
“Standard Value”
A clean, decent place to stay. Quiet on weeknights.
