“I recommend this hotel”

My husband and I were very happy with our stay at this hotel. The front desk staff were very helpful, friendly, and knowledgable. They were especially helpful when we needed to know which buses to take for trips that were not in walking distance. Ghiradelli Square and Hyde Pier were quite close. Fisherman's Wharf was walkable for us as well, even with me being 6 months pregnant. We felt this hotel was in a nice location. The continental breakfast was also convenient. It offered basic choices to get your morning started...cereal, waffles, english muffins, muffins, fruit, etc.

“Would stay again”

Comfort Inn by the Bay was the nicest hotel I've stayed in. The room was small but the time spent in it was very minimal. They had a great continental breakfast, which for me was a full breakfast. I would diffinitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others. Short walk to Fisherman's Wharf,Cable Cars and on bus line. Hotel personal very friendly and helpful.

“Great Place To Stay”

Great location - walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39 and cable cars. Rooms are neat and clean; however, the bathrooms are quite small-but very clean. Public transportation is easily accessible, just cross the street! Hotel staff were very friendly and knowledgeable.

“Surprisingly excellent considering the low price!”

I'm not sure why this hotel is only 2.5 stars. I originally chose it because reviews all spoke of how convenient it was (very true), but the hotel was also a pleasure. Our room had ample space for 2 people and would have been fine with 4. We upgrade to the view room, and it was worth it. And most importantly - FREE CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST EVERY DAY, and a very good selection at that.

“Good Value - Convienient - this is my 2nd stay there”

Free breakfast - decent, not great but enough to get yoru day going. Easy walk to Fishermans Warf. From there, you can get anywhere !! We even walked to China town... a few large up hill streets, but great sightseeing !!

Stay here! This Comfort Inn provides excellent service for such a reasonable price. It is very convenient to Fisherman's Wharf if you don't mind a little walking. The breakfast was so nice each morning. All the staff went out of their way to be polite at all times and everyone was so helpful with directions, airport shuttle, room rates, etc. I have stayed at other Comfort Inns, but this Comfort Inn is truly exceptional and deserves five stars!

“Great location for the money”

We enjoyed our stay at the Comfort Inn by the Bay. It was a <10 min. walk to the Fisherman's Walk area and a less than < 10 min. walk to the infamous curvy section of Lombard street. Breakfast was better than average for a free hotel breakfast with fresh fruit, cereal, milk, pastries, and make your own waffles. We were also allowed to store our bags upon check out for a couple of extra hours of sightseeing. We almost didn't stay here for want of a "fancy" hotel experience, but couldn't bring ourselves to shell out the big bucks and we were pleasantly surprised and will stay here again if ever in the area without a second thought.

Getting around SF is easy with their great transportation. The hotel has bus stops really close by (walking distance with luggage), yet, it is quiet enough to get a comfortable night's sleep. The complimentary breakfast had a lot to choose from and the food was fresh. Great views from the hotel itself and walking distance to many of SF's tourist attractions. Very satisfied here!
