OK for the price.

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Price and locaiton.
Cons: The number of hotel staff and SUV parking. The outdoor parking lot fills up and there isn't enough parking for the entire hotel.
Location: Good location - lots to do nearby.
Average hotel with a good location in the Marina area of San Francisco. Easy walk to Marina Green, Union Street, Fisherman's Wharf, shopping and restaurants. Hotel staffing is minimalistic and creates delays with checking in/out and answering questions. The complimantary breakfast is total chaos when the hotel is full. Not enough seating for breakfast guests and the food stations are quickly emptied, causing guests to wait for quite a while for more food to come out.

Rooms are clean and comfortable. Great for the price, specially at SF. Breakfast is basic but good. Would recommend.

Overly Impressed, and coming back every year!

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: The view and the breakfast!
Cons: ...nothing!
Location: 2 blocks from the "Crooked Street" my kids loved! and a nice walk to Fisherman's warf! gas station and CVS right up the block! And Parking!
Our family tradition for the last 4 years has been Fireworks off the pier..this year we decided to book a room and enjoy the city instead of heading back in all the traffic that same night. Although our check in wasn't until the 5th..The friendly staff allowed us an early check in even after a sold out night the day before! Our room was so clean the comforters glowed white, the bath room was a tight squeeze but it was worth it once we laid our head on the pillows!Coffee maker in the room for my wife's convenience! and the Breakfast in the morning made my kids faces light up~especially the waffle makers! Loved every minute of it and already booked our room for next year!

SF is tough because hotels are overpriced for not much. This hotel is fine if you don't need to drive/park. The garage is not free, and it's also the worst garage layout I've ever parked in. Otherwise, the room is okay... I guess.

Good hotel but expensive

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Ours was $250 for a two queen. A bit expensive but it is sf. Parking was $26 a night and they let us park our 12 passenger van in front since it was too big.

San Fran get away

Posted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: Location and price
Location: Wharf a few blocks and on bus lines
Check in was easy, stored our bags for later. Convenient walk to the Wharf (only a few blocks) BUT very hilly back up to hotel. Not much near by if walking. No restaurant or bar on site. Breakfast is ok if you are not picky. Poor coffee. Room very clean and comfy. Shuttle back to airport for wrong day but think that was shuttle not hotel. They negotiated a taxi and shuttle paid difference.

Nice hotel at a great price.

This hotel was very clean and comfortable. It's only 6 blocks from Ghiradelli square, which is very convenient for sightseeing. But trying to get back to the hotel at night is challenging unless you take a cab. The closest transportation is the Cable car stop three blocks away. The cable cars tend to be overcrowded and the wait to use them is long. Then you have to walk 3 blocks to the hiotel. That doesn't sound like much but it it down a VERY. steep hill and not everyone can walk this. But I would recommend this hotel based on its cleanliness and price. It's a bargain compared to other hotels in San Francisco.

Ten minutes to Fishermans Wharf

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Close proximity to Fishermans Wharf, about a 10-15 minute walk. Even better is the hotel's proximity to Union Street (a great street for shopping and food - especially when you are sick of paying $25 a plate on the pier). The area of the hotel is good, not too 'sketchy'. Staff were great, nice to have breakfast included, and the rooms were your average Comfort Inn rooms - clean, and comfortable.

Clean Hotel in Good Location

Posted Jun 12, 2014
Located on the corner of Van Ness and Lombard, the Comfort Inn is easy access to many sites on any tourists SF to do list. Not super fancy, but clean with very nice staff. Breakfast menu not extensive, but filling and nice to have one meal that we (traveling with husband and 2 small kids) didn't have to eat out. The parking was a bit of an adventure, as the turns were a bit tight in the underground garage, but we eventually made it in and out no problem. Would definitely recommend to others.
