Nice friendly hotel close to bus routePosted Feb 24, 2014
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful ! Hotel is basic but clean and comfortable. It is in a very safe place with many embassies in near proximity ! Stayed there for 3 nights and it was easy to get to china town on the number 46 bus and also the bus to the cable car and walking distance to fishermans wharf was about an hours stroll which we did in an evening and felt very safe ! The continental breakfast is a pastry and coffee but that was enough to get us by until mid morning !

Very nice place to visitPosted Feb 24, 2014
We are low maintenance travelers. Give us a clean, quiet place to sleep and a safe place for our luggage, and we're happy. This provided that, and the staff were knowledgeable and helpful, arranging for airport transportation and helping us negotiate the bus system so we could get around. We had a nice walk to the Greens Restaurant, and this is less than a block from the Presidio.

Nice hotel friendly staffPosted Feb 22, 2014
Pros: Clean and comfortable rooms, great quiet location, helpful staff
Cons: Breakfast : they could add some bagels with butter or cream cheese
Location: Near Palace of Fine Arts, Golden Gate Bridge, Presidio Park, nice restaurants, and stores.
If you are looking for a clean and comfortable place to spend the night, go no further. Country Hearth Inn is the place.

Good location, clean, simple and affordable.Posted Jan 10, 2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness, and price.
Cons: The room could do with a microwave. The heater did not have a thermostat (or it was broken), so it was a bit hard to adjust the temperature.
Location: Golden Gate, and the Presidio are near by. You can also walk to Fishermen's Wharf, takes about one hour.
We stayed for five days at this hotel, and were quite pleased. It was certainly good value for money. We walked to the Golden Gate across the Presidio (takes about 50 min), and bus n. 30 took us downtown in about 15 min. There is no lift, so if you have very heavy luggage, ask for a ground floor room.

Very nice stay, enjoyed the location a lot.Posted Dec 2, 2013
Pros: Location, free breakfast, free wireless.
Location: Palace Fine Arts, Presidio - walking distance by Bus - Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf , Alcatraz, Union Square, Coit Tower, Ghirardeli Square
The hotel was affordable. It was simple but clean. The location was great, close to the Presidio Park and Palace Fine Arts (Marina District), short drive/bus ride to the Golden Gate Bridge. There is a Walgreens about 2 blocks from the hotel. You can take the Metro Bus on Chestnut or Lombard and it pretty much takes your everywhere for $2/person (for 3 hours). Hotel offers a small breakfast, muffins/croissants/danishes, coffee/tea/juice, fruit. (no place to sit, you can bring a tray and take to eat in your room). I recommend this hotel and I would go back.

Horrible!Posted Nov 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
The husband and wife front office dudes are horrible! Never did I encounter such rude people. After a long day traveling with three children, the last thing I was expecting is this rude couple yelling at me and refusing to give me the room that I had booked! And do not expect much of a breakfast - when I asked about breakfast the guy said that there will be just coffee and some pastries by his desk in the morning. Beware and stay away!
