Nice hotel for those who are frugal and want value

Posted Mar 30, 2014
Overall, I would say my stay was pretty good. My friends and I decided to take a weekend trip from Los Angeles, but we wanted to minimize the cost as well. This hotel, while it was out of the way for us, was nicely priced for the accommodations it had. The staff was nice when they checked us in and out; we even got a couple of maps of the place that were extremely helpful (especially when we needed to figure out which bus to take). This hotel didn't promise us much, but it did deliver very well on what it did.

walking distance to marine , golden gate bridge.

bathroom floor had long black hairs and also in bathtub. That made me and my wife sick to my stomach. Our bed was itchy even sheets appear to be clean, had to sleep over the blancket. Worried about security . Also, parking lot has only one way in and to get out you have to back up manover the car 2 or 3 times to be able to get out. Parking lot very narrow.

2 Year anniversary Trip

Pros: I like the cleanliness and service of this hotel. Loved the fact that there is a water filter.
Cons: I was ok with everything
Location: located around the Marina district, theres a walgreens a liquor store and walking distance to Chestnut and the bus stops.
I have nothing but great things to say about this hotel. We arrived early and the guy at the hotel allowed us to keep our bags there until check in. The front office staff was very helpful with directions and where we can grab something to eat. Everytime we went in they were nice. The Coffee and pastries were good enough to hold us off until we got ready to hit the town. I would definetly stay here again.

Nice friendly hotel close to bus route

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful ! Hotel is basic but clean and comfortable. It is in a very safe place with many embassies in near proximity ! Stayed there for 3 nights and it was easy to get to china town on the number 46 bus and also the bus to the cable car and walking distance to fishermans wharf was about an hours stroll which we did in an evening and felt very safe ! The continental breakfast is a pastry and coffee but that was enough to get us by until mid morning !

Very nice place to visit

We are low maintenance travelers. Give us a clean, quiet place to sleep and a safe place for our luggage, and we're happy. This provided that, and the staff were knowledgeable and helpful, arranging for airport transportation and helping us negotiate the bus system so we could get around. We had a nice walk to the Greens Restaurant, and this is less than a block from the Presidio.

Pros: Clean and comfortable rooms, great quiet location, helpful staff
Cons: Breakfast : they could add some bagels with butter or cream cheese
Location: Near Palace of Fine Arts, Golden Gate Bridge, Presidio Park, nice restaurants, and stores.
If you are looking for a clean and comfortable place to spend the night, go no further. Country Hearth Inn is the place.
