“Big Room”

We were VERY IMPRESSED with the size of the hotel room. I was amazed on how big the bathroom was, and the decor was eye-catching. I'm not used to being in a bathroom where I don't feel crowded. It was a nice feeling. We were very comfortable with the size of the rest of the room as well. The view...well, there was none. Our view was the car garage next door. But, that was OK with us, since we weren't there most of the day anyway. To answer you question, yes, we would stay there again without any hesitation.

Area recommendations

This hotel was one block from the Fisherman's Wharf area. there are alot of good restaurants in the area. If you wanted to go to Pier 39, you had to walk about 5-6 blocks, which is good exercise after you eat the good food.

When to go

The best time to go to San Francisco is around September-October. The weather is great and we haven't run into heavy fog at that time.

“Just the right location”

It was the perfect location for seafood at the Fisherman's Wharf, the cable car rides, and the F-line street car. We had a quiet room facing the alley. The mattress was comfortable so we were able to rest up after long days touring the city. The staff was friendly. We had a great recommendation from Edward at the concierge for seafood at Pompei Grotto, which is right behind the hotel.

“Cozy hotel”

Everything was great, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Wish the hotel had a restaurant and maybe a Spa but other than that it was great! Close to everything so choices were unlimited.

“ok place near FW”

good location near wharf - but noisy. bring tour information as only a screen in lobby for those wanting tourist information.

“Courtyard Marriott at Fisherman's Wharf - excellent location”

The best thing about this hotel is the location - it's right in the middle of the Fisherman's Wharf area with lots of shops & restaurants around. Also about 1 block from the cable car (but get there very early otherwise you'll have greater than a 1 hr wait time). Also conveniently located near Ghiradelli Square where you can pick up bus tours. Hotel staff was very helpful...rooms were great. Only down side was no fridge/microwave in room.

Take a bus tour out to Muir forest (redwoods) - excellent!
