Great Work Hotel

Posted Jan 19, 2015
I was in town for a workshop so spent little time at the hotel but when there it was comfortable and quiet considering the location near the airport. Room was clean and staff very friendly.

Nice hotel, close to the airport

Posted Jan 19, 2015
It was a nice hotel that was near the convention I went to. I didn't use the facilities but they had a restaurant/bar, pool, and gym. Even though it was near the airport, they soundproofed it so that it didn't bother me or my mother.

Nothing special. Room was tired looking but clean. Served its purpose as an in-between flight solution. Shuttle service was EXCELLENT.

Out for a family matter...

Posted Jan 14, 2015
Pros: Check in was fast and efficient.
Cons: Most of the room doors were dirty/scuffed. Looked worn and not necessarily kept up.
Stayed in Room 606; clean and neat, but LOTS of road noise. (Overlooks the freeway.) The café left a fair amount of room for improvement. The cheese burger was OK, but a bit underdone. A 'local craft brew' was $8 for a 12 ounce can*! (*Not explained on the menu.) The breakfast buffet (~$14) had scrambled eggs, hash browns- COLD!, bacon/sausage and French toast. I thought about ordering eggs off the menu (~$12-18) but then I saw that the servers were picking things (hash browns, fruit, etc.) from the buffet line to fill the custom order. Coffee was tepid and lacked flavour.

:(

The bathroom smelled like a moldy mop. The walls are thin; I had to listen to a kid crying all night. The hotel is next to the freeway so I also had the privilege of listening to road construction all night. It's ok if you just need a place to crash for the night close to the airport.

Convenient location at good price

Posted Jan 9, 2015
Pros: Location, quality.
Cons: Staff needs to be trained to pay more attention to what's going on at the counter, not just follow her own preset routine of checking the computer.
Location: SFO, nice restaurants and shopping malls are nearby. BART terminal to SF city center is also a short ride away.
We choose the hotel based on its proximity to SFO. We fly frequently from/to SFO and need to stay overnight near it. Having stayed in many hotels in the area, it's our first time trying out this Crowne Plaza. The facility is in a good shape compare to others in the same price range near SFO and the location convenient to restaurants and shops in Millbrae. However, a little glitch upon check-in showed that the staff at the front desk require more attention to the business and enthusiasm towards the guests.
