Perfect for a weekend getaway

Posted Feb 26, 2015
Pros: Location, staff, coffee!
Cons: Nothing I can think of off hand.
Location: Great location within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to explore, North Beach, Union Square and Bart were all a short walk away.
We arrived early (noon) expecting to check our luggage before exploring the city, but after leaving our truck with the valet we were able to check in. Our room was on the top floor, with an inner courtyard view (which was nothing special), but made the room quiet. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space. The front desk staff was pleasant.

Location, location, location

Cons: Post the minbar/snack prices in the room - we didn't touch them, but thought the lack of a price list as odd.
Location: You could hardly be more central, and being on the MUNI/BART subway line makes getting around really quick and easy.
We spent 3 nights at the Galleria, and really enjoyed the stay. The location is brilliant - a quick walk to BART, the F line, and a dozen places you probably want to go, like Union Square, SOMA, the Ferry Building and Chinatown. The staff were universally friendly without being obsequious, and rooms are really nicely appointed. Ours was on the cheap end of their scale - our only real disappointment being that the "courtyard view" is not what we imagined, when we read "courtyard view". Otherwise, lots of nice details, like an umbrella in the closet, wine happy hour each afternoon and surprisingly good coffee available on the mezzanine each morning. We would certainly stay again. 10/20 minutes on MUNI will get you to the Castro(F), Haight/Cole(N), Noe(J), the Piers(F or 8x), Chestnut (30) and so many more.

Hotel bien placé et agréable

Posted Feb 22, 2015

Comfortable hotel, great location

Posted Feb 22, 2015
Pros: One day only free Wifi access provided. Also, problems with our ipad during stay, possibly due to the Galleria WIFI.
Cons: Too many kids running around at wine/happy hour. Cost of internet in the business center.
Location: Quick walk to union square, China Town, Beldon Alley dining and public transportation.
We always enjoy our stay here. Easy access, welcoming lobby, rooftop walking trail, and evening wine hour.

Nice hotel with awesome downtown location

Posted Feb 15, 2015
Pros: Awesome location in downtown San Francisco. Staff are very helpful. Daily wine hour which is complementary.
Cons: They have a coffee bar in the mornings, but I wish they had some breakfast. At least something small like cereal and juice.
Location: Chinatown is practically next door. About a 10 minute walk to the Moscone Center if you have a convention there. A short bus ride to anywhere else.
Overall a very nice hotel. I think it was a bit old and recently remodeled. As a result the architecture is a bit small and the rooms are smaller than expected, but very nicely done and clean. The staff is some of the best I've seen. They have a complementary wine hour from 5:30 to 6:30 pm and coffee (very good) in the mornings, but no breakfast. There is an awesome breakfast place and also a Chipotle next door. Small fitness center consisting of two treadmills, Bowflex, and dumbells. The location is awesome with a short walk to anywhere downtown. I took bus rides to Haight Street and the Wharf which were not bad at all. If this hotel had a good breakfast bar I'd give it 5/5, but because the rooms are a little small and there isn't any breakfast, I'd give it 4/5. Highly recommended.
