"Enjoyed my Stay at the Galleria Park".

Posted Mar 25, 2015
Pros: The environmental practices regarding bed linen and the provision of re-cycling bins in the room and bathroom were very pleasing to me.
Cons: A new mini fridge in my particular room(716) would be helpful for future guests.
Location: The hotel is situated in the financial area and is only a couple of blocks away from the Montgomery St. BART and MUNI station and F-Line Street Cars.
Check in at the Galleria Park was quick and hassle free.My room was on the 7th floor and was very quiet, which I requested at booking. The room consisted of a queen sized bed,Wide screen TV,Mini fridge,Tea/Coffee making facility,In-Room Safe,Iron and Board and free WiFi.Although the small fridge was quite noisy at night when the thermostat kicked in it did'nt stop me getting a decent sleep. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The Bathroom was a good size with a walk in shower and a plentiful supply of clean, fresh towels and toiletries.Staff were very friendly and always helpful. If you did'nt have your bed linen changed daily you received a complimentary bottle of water,a nice green touch, which I am all for.I enjoyed my stay at the Galleria Park Hotel and would definitely recommend.

Great location, staff, amenities ... tiny room

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: Location. Wine hour. Morning coffee. Friendly, helpful staff.
Cons: We appreciated that there was a cooler of water available in the lobby during the day. But puzzled why they removed it at night?
Location: Very close to Financial District, great restaurants, Embarcadero, public transportation, MOMA, Contemporary Jewish Museum.
First of all, we had trouble finding a room (an affordable room) in San Francisco during our vacation. But we had stayed at other Joie de Vivre hotels in the past, so were pleased when we found the Galleria Park on Expedia. We loved the location. It was very convenient to the restaurants and sights that we wanted to visit during our trip. The staff was wonderful. Very friendly and accommodating. One of the things we like about JDV hotels is the evening wine reception for all guests. We met some very interesting fellow travelers and enjoyed talking to them. We also liked the coffee in the morning. One consideration - the Queen room we booked thru Expedia was quite small, particularly the bathroom. My wife and I are small people, so we got by just fine. But it would have been pretty difficult for larger travelers. Also, our room faced into the alley. OK, so not a great view. But the real problem was the nightly garbage pickup. The trucks were quite noisy and they banged the dumpsters loudly. But overall, we enjoyed the hotel and would consider staying there again in the future.

A GREAT VALUE

Posted Mar 22, 2015
Pros: Location & (relative) price
Cons: NA
Location: We were within walking distance of public transportation & tour buses. The 48-hour pass seemed to work well for us as we toured the city.
My wife researched a lot of hotels for our first trip to San Francisco. The Galleria Park Hotel offered a great balance of price & location. The staff was helpful, friendly & accommodating. We thought this facility was a great value for the money, and we'd stay there again when we come to San Francisco.

Really cute hotel in a great location! Staff was really friendly and helpful. Only downside was that you could hear everything going on outside.

Perfect for a weekend getaway

Posted Feb 26, 2015
Pros: Location, staff, coffee!
Cons: Nothing I can think of off hand.
Location: Great location within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to explore, North Beach, Union Square and Bart were all a short walk away.
We arrived early (noon) expecting to check our luggage before exploring the city, but after leaving our truck with the valet we were able to check in. Our room was on the top floor, with an inner courtyard view (which was nothing special), but made the room quiet. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space. The front desk staff was pleasant.

Location, location, location

Cons: Post the minbar/snack prices in the room - we didn't touch them, but thought the lack of a price list as odd.
Location: You could hardly be more central, and being on the MUNI/BART subway line makes getting around really quick and easy.
We spent 3 nights at the Galleria, and really enjoyed the stay. The location is brilliant - a quick walk to BART, the F line, and a dozen places you probably want to go, like Union Square, SOMA, the Ferry Building and Chinatown. The staff were universally friendly without being obsequious, and rooms are really nicely appointed. Ours was on the cheap end of their scale - our only real disappointment being that the "courtyard view" is not what we imagined, when we read "courtyard view". Otherwise, lots of nice details, like an umbrella in the closet, wine happy hour each afternoon and surprisingly good coffee available on the mezzanine each morning. We would certainly stay again. 10/20 minutes on MUNI will get you to the Castro(F), Haight/Cole(N), Noe(J), the Piers(F or 8x), Chestnut (30) and so many more.
