Pros: Price

Cheap motel, but not so nice

Posted Sep 25, 2014
Pros: free hot water and coffee
Cons: Everything
Location: Close to the highway to SF
The most annoying thing was that we had non smoking room, but the ciggarets smell was really strong. Besides we had dnd flyer all the time and staff was inside the room few times! One time they even left open balcony doors!

Great rate & worth every penny

Posted Sep 18, 2014
Pros: Everything. Open and airy 60s/70s architecture. Big sliding glass door to a private balcony.
Cons: Make it rain :) end the drought so they can turn up the water pressure.
Location: It's conveniently between San Francisco and San Jose. Redwood city is a lovely neighborhood.
The grounds are lovely and many rooms have ample balconies to enjoy them. The landscaping was cleared of human litter every 24 hours or less and has big California Redwoods, palm trees, flowers and some exotic plants to keep things interesting. The room's card key opens gated entrances to the facility and exterior doors, a nice security feature. Very well maintained. The furnishings and lighting were up to date. Like most places, it's close to a freeway off-ramp, very convenient, yet our room was very quiet as it faced the courtyard/pool area. IHOP is right next door and also had great service. Nice neighborhood. The only downside is the drought makes the shower's water restriction a bit awkward, pretty standard in Calif. We stayed for most of a week and were never disappointed.

Mixed emotions

Posted Sep 15, 2014
We only stayed for one night to get one good night's sleep after that long transatlantic flight. We got it. The hotel turned out to be some kind of quiet island right in the middle of the raging traffic of a highway cloverleaf. That is where it is situated so you better bring your own earplugs. The hotel consists of severeal buildings which surround a blue lagoon (ok, the pool) and some palm trees that sway in the evening breeze. Our room was like what you would expect in SF for the price. We removed a used wodka bottle from under the bed; empty, but very good brand. We killed a roach in the bathroom, a very small one. We sleps like logs. Staff was nice and helpful. Good coffee in the lobby.

Room 126...... Most uncomfortable bed!!!!!!

Posted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: We liked how spacIous the room was and the location.
Cons: Impove the bedding if possible.
Location: location was righ next to the freeway we were close to downtown Redwwod City and there was a IHop right next door. Also not to far from San Francisco.
We thought the room was decent for the price. We stayed two nights the only issue was that the bed was the most UNCOMFORTABLE we had ever slept in.

Low budget hotel, good for one stay

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: It was cheap
Cons: Room cleaniness, the room smelled and looked like a very old room, some paint and carpet cleaning may help a lot.
Location: Ihop in the next door, it is located close to the main road. We reserved it as a base location for exploring San francisco, but it is a bit far.
We were in there for 4 days, it is a cheap hotel, it wasn't dirty, but it wasn't clean either. For the first night the bed not clean, the sheets looked used, smelled like used sheets. There was limited number of pillows, we had to ask for blankets, which was limited, they could provide the two latest blankets, but no extra pillows, as the latest one was provided to an other guest, who complained about the same. Internet was free, but extremely slow, available only for one equipment per room.

2nd Dirtiest Hotel/Motel I've Ever Stayed In

Posted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: The bed.
Cons: They really need to clean the rooms and linens, and replace the stained and damaged linens/bedding.
The reviews indicated the beds in this hotel were comfortable, and I was really only looking for a place to sleep, so I booked it. The bed WAS quite comfortable. Someone else's hair was all over the bathtub and shower walls. The grout had mildew thoroughly entrenched. The carpet was so dirty, I had to wear my shoes at all times -- even in my sleepwear. The towels had many stains. The bedding had cigarette burns in it.

Never Again!

Posted Sep 4, 2014
Pros: Nothing
This place is the pit stop from hell and I didn't expect a lot for the price! The room was disgustingly filthy ! I don't think a vacuum had been run in there in ages. Sad thing is it has a decent pool area and each room has a patio... It's just bad management and no up keep on the rooms!! The room was so hot when we got in there we had to turn on the ac and leave for 2hrs just to cool it off ( we came back after one hour and it was still hot), granted, it was an upstairs room. I swear I think the entire downstairs wing I was staying in was being used as a grow house that's how strong the marajuana smell was!!! ( it would also explain the heat)

Location

Posted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: location
Cons: A re-do.
Location was what we wanted, and that was the plus of the motel. Otherwise it was a bare bones room, nothing to want to return to. The mattress pad was ugly; the bedspread had a hole in it; the towels were rough and skimpy. Those small details said to me that it was a bare-bones place.
