Quality diminished

Posted Apr 18, 2014
Pros: close to freeway and in the city of the people I was visiting.
Cons: Remodel
been using this hotel/location approx once/year for past 10 years. Price has increased over past 3-4 years approx 50% Room Quality has decrease equally. Room smelled like a rest home, similar to the one my Grandmother stayed in until she passed. Had it not been midnight, I would have not accepted the hotel and gone elsewhere. The bed was worn out, huge depression, I kept rolling into during the night. Extremely soft springy mattress. I was fortunate to have brought along a can of Lysol, to spray the entire bed, floor and shower area. Even then I used rubber sandals to shower and a sleeping bag I carried in the car. Sadly, I will never use this hotel/location again. Unless there has been a recent remodel and most likely a change in ownership/management.

Our stay in Redwood City.

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Although the hotel was close to capacity, the room was very quiet. I never heard any other guests' noise. Also, being close to the freeway, no noise.
Cons: I needed an iron, which the staff couldn't provide.
Location: The hotel is very close to San Francisco. It was worth the drive from the city back to the hotel for the spacious parking accomodations.
The hotel is located adjacent and conveniently to the freeway off ramp. We had a late arrival, but still were able to get room service. The room was extremely spacious with a view of the pool. Staff was very helpful and couteous.

Good place for solo travelers

Posted Apr 12, 2014
Pros: Great access to freeway.
Cons: Room carpets in need of updating
Location: with such easy access to the 101, you can do SF, SJ, cross a bridge to the EB, or head out to Santa Cruz.
Other than the carpet, my room was perfectly acceptable. I was i. n town to visit my college son and was just looking for an inexpensive place to stay. I found the lobby to be welcoming and the staff friendly. The grounds are well-kept, they had just cleaned the pool for the onset of warm weather, well-lit, clean hallways, vending machines, and on into my room near the back of the hotel. Yes, it's closer to the freeway, but I never noticed the noise. I also carry a small 'white noise' fan with me, but it really wasn't an issue. I would try to avoid the very front row of rooms, the ones right on the parking lot. Those are going to be noisier, and with a 'younger' crowd. I don't know if it was by design, but it seems the hotel attempted tp keep the younger, one-niter types of guests on that front row, while the more mature travelers were back in the quiet part of the grounds. I had no issues with noise or rowdy neighbors. As for the person or persons who have set up a tarp on the other side of the ten foot wall on the freeway side, have some sympathy, brother!! No one WANTS to live that way; it could happen to any of us. I never saw anyone or heard any noise or anything. If someone is tarp-tenting back there, they are harmless. I wouldn't stay here with my wife and kids, but I would most definitely stay again when I travel by myself. I saved a bundle and had no issues whatsoever. I hope the management is saving up to replace the room carpets tho.

Convenient & cheap for people w. low expectations

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: Location and price
Cons: Service was pretty bad. AC was loud.
Location: Very close to 101, but the rooms have good sound isolation. There is IHOP next door and McDonald's close by. The train station is 15-20 min away.
Average motel room. Ok for a night or two. Service is not great, but you get what you pay for.

DUMP

Posted Apr 5, 2014
Pros: Zero, zip, zilch.
Cons: Cleanliness.
Stayed one night to visit family and we arrived late to find the room filthy. We've stayed there before in other rooms, but this one looked like a room that should have been booked by the hour. The bed had an old rumpled 1980's style old bedspread that appeared that someone had slept on top of it. The carpet was very soiled and the drapes were tatty and in poor shape. The bath towels had lipstick and not sure what else!!! Need I say more???

Not so Good Night Inn

Posted Apr 2, 2014
Rooms were disgustingly dirty! Armchairs were black with cigarette burns, heat unit made a terribly loud noise, room had a bad odour that included smoking (in a non smoking room), sheets were not changed in there days while i was there and the bed cover should have been incinerated due to dirt. NEVER AGAIN!!
