“Extremely Satisfied”

We spend four nights at the Handley Union Square and were extremely satisfied. The room was small but very neat and clean. We make the reservation on line at a very good rate. We could have had a larger room but elected not too. As we spent very little time in the room. Everyone we came in contact with was very friendly and helpful. We worked with two of the concierge and both were very very helpful in setting up several trips for us. They did a super job and did not mind how many questions I had for them. When we return to Sanfransco, we will be sure to return to the Handley. Rudy & Jean

The staff was very polite and attentive. The rooms were fairly small but nice and clean. Great location being in the middle of Union Sqaure. The hallways can be somewhat eerie with a slight haunting due to its old history. Enjoyed out stay here, would come back again.

We will definitely go back. This is a neat older hotel with lots of character. It has the perfect location, close to all transportation, restaurants and shopping. Many rooms are quite small but we upgraded to a larger one and it was perfect! The hotel restaurant is great but a little pricey but there are many many restaurants close by.

the hotel is conveniently located in union square, just a two minute walk from major bus stops and a cable car stop.

We had a great time at this hotel. The cable cars are just around the corner and it's very well located in the centre of the city. We enjoyed its tipical american style as well. We'd like coming back.

Beautiful old world charm...when hotels were really hotels. Situated in the middle of all that is San Francisco -- the main cablecar lines, gourmet restaurants and upscale designer shopping and bus stop for city tours.

“A great hotel in a great location.”

We were pleasantly surprised at how updated this hotel was. Our room was in the Premier Wing...a little walk from the Lobby but well worth it. The back entrance was even closer to the Powell St. Bart for our ride to the airport. We were disappointed that there was a charge to use the computers in the business center. Many hotels include this as part of the rate. Also, the Concierge booked us a restaurant reservation but used his own Open Table account rather than ours (and bragged about it as a way to visit restaurants he recommends) which seemed a little "tacky". In general the staff was friendly and accommodating.

Handlery Union Square Hotel was fantastic! It's located just minutes from Union Square, Starbucks, Niketown, Bart Station, Cable car, great restaurants,etc. The staff was courteous and friendly. The room was very clean and tastefully decorated. if you plan to visit San Francisco, I would highly recommend staying here.

“Wonderful hotel, we will go back!”

We enjoyed our stay, very helpful staff, and be sure to eat at their resturant "The Daily Grill" from breakfast to dinner, each meal was prepared with care and large portions also!! The beds were exceptionally comfortable! The shower had wonderful water pressure also. Great place.
