Great location! The parking is too expensive. There is public parking less than 100 feet away, I will suggest you park your car there.

Just OK

Posted Apr 12, 2015
Pros: Convenient location
Cons: Price is high. Room and Washroom size is so small
Location: In Heart of the city downtown
Service at restaurant is too slow and food variety is also not enough for vegetarians.

Excellent location, close to cable car, restaurant

Posted Apr 11, 2015
Pros: Room size, clean, perfect location and reasonable price
Cons: Renew A/C
Location: Restaurants, Cable Car, Pubs, Shopping, BART station, walking distance from businesses centers
This hotel is perfectly located close to union Square, restaurants, shops and a lot of activity. The average price per night is good to be San Francisco Downtown, actually I would say is more affordable than the other hotels. And for the price you get a full , great size, clean, quiet room, full closet, full bathroom, a/c. You may get lower prices in other hotels in SF Downtown, but sometimes rooms are extremely small, or noisy, or smelly, or in the worst case SHARED BATHROOM. If I would need to select again, I will choose this Hotel.

Ok hotel - a little rough around the edges

Posted Apr 8, 2015
We were given a room "with a balcony" which turned out to be overlooking a courtyard with a pool that was being resurfaced AKA jack hammering. When I called to tell the desk they said they'd forgotten about that; hard to believe with how loud it was. The next room was quieter, luckily we'd planned on going out for the day. The bell staff were inattentive unless directly addressed. Just weird. Other than that it was fine.

Comfortable, clean, and convenient.

Location: A very short walking distance to all transportation- you can take the BART from SFO to the Powell station and it is a 5-min walk to the hotel.
I was there for 5 days in April 2015. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room. I like that the window would open (I was on the 3rd floor) so I could get some fresh air when I wanted. The only drawback is the shower stall only (no bath- and after days of walking, my legs could've used a soak). The free wi-fi worked well.

Not worth the hassle

Posted Apr 7, 2015
Pros: Not much really... I'm surprised they stay in business... they do cater to you like a 5 star hotel... but they are 3 star at best.
Cons: If I tell you I can get my own bags..... I can get my own bags... quit bilking everyone for a tip.
Location: Lefty O'Douls is a cool bar.... but over run with Longshoremen union members singing union songs...
We got caught in rush hour traffic leaving town and it took us 2 hours to go maybe 12 blocks. the one ways were closed in some areas and getting to the front door was VERY difficult. The room was remodeled but not very ergonomic. toilet was too close to the sink counter and hindered access, getting around between the 2 hotels (Yes there is an old and a new) was like being in a rat maze. Almost $50 to park overnight made up the difference in what we saved from using Expedia. Then after you tip the bellhop 3-4 times for things I could do on my own... I'd have rather stayed at the Nob Hill Hotel on Pacific, and rode the Cable Cars to this area. Seriously... the traffic was hell... Motorcycles zipping in between cars, pedestrians jumping out in front of traffic, cars cutting you off and creating gridlock... PURE HELL. I did like the access to some really cool bars... But that was it.... and I could've got a cab from a more reasonable hotel to those...

Right in the center of action!

Pros: We loved everything about this hotel and how it was in the center of Union Square! Everything in the room was to satisfactory level!
Location: There are so many brand name stores to shop at within walking distance. It is in the center of a lot of restaurants, stores, bars, and much action!
We were pleased with the location of the hotel! It was also a great looking hotel as well as a cute and quaint room. The room was also bigger than the average hotel room, and better than we anticipated. The bed was very comfortable; we slept like little lambs! Everything was perfect in the room! The staff was very friendly as well as the parking garage staff. We didn't use the pool but it did say it was heated and we saw others swimming even though the weather was a bit chilly! So I know for a fact that the pool was comfortable enough to swim! I noticed the gym area was also being used and I like the fact that you can workout anytime! We also got a chance to eat at the attached restaurant Daily Grill and we liked that it was easy access from the hotel lobby; basically you just had to walk thru a hallway from the lobby. The hotel was super close to all the action and there were name brand stores all along our block! Shopping there was not a problem!! Overall, amazing experience!!
