Modern Rooms

Very noisy at night. Not sure what the noise was but didn't sleep one wink the first night. Sounded like a vacuum or blender going on and off all night!!! Miserable!!! When reported gentleman said oh, sorry!!!

Lower quality conference hotel

Posted Dec 13, 2014
Cons: Needs more comfortable bedding, extra front desk staff, and security measures given the location and busy lobby
Location: Close to Union Square and shopping but otherwise location is not great. Sketchy neighborhood
Recently stayed here for a conference that had previously been held at the Ritz so the comparison may be unfair. However for the price, this did not live up to Hilton standards. It's a not-so-great neighborhood although close to Union square a couple good restaurants. The lobby was crazy busy all the time and check in took forever even though there were only a couple people in line. Parking was expensive and wifi was extra. But my biggest complaint was the room smelled funny and there was no real comforter on the bed. I froze the first night and had to crank up the heat for warmth while sleeping.

レストランがカジュアルで気後れしない

Posted Dec 10, 2014

Hilton Onion Square -

Posted Dec 5, 2014
Pros: The San Fran Ginger Bread display in the vhotelk lobby
Cons: Attitude. We have a poor view of San Fran because of the hotel staff attitude- unhelpful and poor work quality across all areas.
Location: Big Bus Tours stop off outside the hotel were a great, and an easy way for a family to see the city- just don't tell the concierge!
I choose to stay at Hilton Branded hotels with my family- there is a level of predictability that comes whether we have stayed in Sydney, throughout Asia and the US. They won't be the cheapest- but the beds are always comfortable, bathrooms clean with a pool or family space. Given we had just come from Hilton San Diego- this was a very disappointing, and uncomfortable 3 days in San Fransisco. First of all, we arrive at the hotel through the back entrance after Google directed us through the tenderloin district= Smell+ fear+ filth. When we arrived, no hello help or welcome. Just stand there and watch us try to figure it out. Then checking in was long... The concierge possibly got the same training. When asked for ideas on how to see the city, and whether they could make recommendations for we got a very snappy "What tour bus?" When we described the several hop on/ off tours outside the hotel door.."Just get on a red one- they are all red anyway." The cleaning was appalling. I wiped down the bathroom on our arrival before use -showers need bleach; on day 2 we arrived to find a whole hallway with their rubbish outside their doors at 5.30pm, when cleaning starts at 8.30am (and they won't knock). Essentially Tower 3, Level 8 is still stuck in the 1970's complete with carpet stains, peeling wall paper and damp smell to match. Watch out if you need to go out the front door- be prepared for more homeless begging/ abusing you while the hotel staff look on

Centrally located downtown

Posted Dec 3, 2014
It was a bit pricey but conveniently located in the heart of downtown. Walking distance to many shops and union square park. Just take the trolley up to fishermans wharf or it's a cheap cab ride to the Golden Gate Bridge.

Pros: Location/Parking
All good, except previous tenants must have had a dog that left a wet spot on the rug. Staff offered to change rooms, but it wasn't worth it to us to move. Spot was not in our way and didn't smell. Staff gave us comps at Starbucks.

Fairly nice hotel in a good location.

Posted Dec 2, 2014
Pros: All of the Christmas decorations gave a nice feel when coming and going from the hotel.
Cons: PARKING and explain the unavoidable fees at check in after presenting the parking ticket.
Location: It's right next to Union Square, google it, its San Francisco. Plenty to do depending on what you like.
-Check in not the fastest. -Had to upgrade my room for a view, vouchers for breakfast/coffe from starbucks and wifi. -Room was clean. -Hotel is in a good location. -Couple in the room next to us argued throwing things around room from 0200-0400 not allowing us to sleep. -In the morning the line for Starbucks coffee/breakfast was extremely long and did not want to wait an hour, went around corner and paid at another starbucks renfering our vouchers useless. -Upon viewing hotel bill the final morning before checkout, besides all the fees and taxes added to bill, self parking was $47 a day. (The parking spots were very narrow and small with very tight spots) As expected, my brand new SUV had a solid door ding when I returned.

Thanksgiving Holiday

Cons: Better attention to stocking the in room coffee bar.
Lovely hotel and so very convenient to everything near Union Square - great food at the Urban Tavern inside the Hotel - lax when it came to stocking the in room coffee! Super Shutte at the door for airport transportation was the very best! Would stay again at this Hotel

Great location, good overall experience. Gets a bit tricky with the parking on Friday night, non-hotel customers can park too.
