It is a very nice hotel.Posted Mar 2, 2014
Pros: Location. Good atomosphare.
Location: Right in the center of downtown shopping and good restaurants. 6 easy walking to Moscone Center where many trade shows are conducted.
I enjoyed the stay. The check in and out were very easy and the staffs at the desk were all very nice. The room was clean and quiet. It was rather surprising, though, the overnight parking per nite was $46 each night. I supoise that is the giubg rate for San Francisco.

Falling Behind the TimesPosted Mar 1, 2014
Cons: See above.
One of Hitlon's older hotels that they are not investing in. You are paying only for location. Hotel is straight out of the 1980s. Old beds, old furniture, old bathrooms, old food, old smells and old service.

Great hotel in the heart of San FranciscoPosted Feb 26, 2014
Pros: I liked the friendly staff and modern feel. I always loved staying at Hilton Hotels as they are luxurious and comfortable.
Cons: The rooms should be checked more often to make sure everything is in tact and not broken. For example, restroom door lock and TV (bad connection).
Location: Since this hotel is right in Union Square, everything you can imagine is within walking distance. I was able to eat and shop all on foot.
I recently stayed at the Union Square Hilton Hotel in San Francisco this past weekend with my friend. We came to visit San Francisco as a small weekend getaway from school and work. We arrived on Friday afternoon around 2pm and was able to check in early rather than 3pm. I booked a one bedroom with a King bed. When we got up to the room, it was clean and pretty cozy. The view was pleasant as we were able to see cars and people passing. When checking out the room, I realized that the bathroom door hinge was broken and there was a piece missing where the lock was supposed to be. I did not think it was that big of a deal so I did not bother calling it in. My friend and I left for dinner around 5pm. By the time we got back to the hotel, it was already around 10pm and we decided to watch some TV. I noticed that the channels were staticy and jumpy (as in the pictures would freeze and skip every time). This got annoying and we thought it would go away after awhile. About 20 minutes has passed and it kept on freezing on every channel so I decided to call the front desk for some assistance. Even though it was close to midnight, they were able to send a technician up to try and fix the problem. The technician came within 10 minutes and he said the connection was bad and someone can come in the morning to fix it. He was able to adjust the wiring so that the problem was fixed. He felt bad and gave us 2 complimentary full breakfast vouchers. Overall, a great hotel with great service.

After All it is San FranciscoPosted Feb 25, 2014
Cons: Reasonable WIFI rates
Did two nights this time in the SF Hilton Union Square. This is my second time in this hotel and may be my last. Don't get me wrong, it is a very nice hotel, just off Union Square, but the rooms are small even after paying $40 per night for an upgraded room. What the $40 got me was a WIFI connection which I could have purchased for $16.95. Most hotels offer it for nothing but this is San Francisco. The staff was great and check-in and check-out was easy and expedient. . The room was the same size and configuration as the basic room on my earlier stay. The room was very clean, plainly appointed with a very comfortable bed. The bath was very small with the basin partially over the tank of the toilet. The shower was nice and fairly large with nice towels. Parking was $52 dollars per night plus tax which actually brings it to almost $60. Once again don't get me wrong, after all it is San Francisco.

bad begining..Posted Feb 24, 2014
Location: location is nice.
first of all, when we wanted to check-in, they coldnt find my rez.that i did via from you.although i showed my confirmation mail from you, they said after i made rez. they sold the rooms by mistake.then me and my family (with my 4 years old son) had to wait to find room in front of reception. secondly, no mini bar in room, when i ask they bring a mini bar for 15 dollars, which is so weird ,plugged a mini bar like a 2 star ugly room.this is not my first experience in Hilton. but as a downtown hotel with this price, having no internet, andminibar was suprising me. i will complain this rez. problem in tripadvisor too. what happened to my rez., is not my deal, it is between you and Hilton,as a guest i am not supposed to wait there after a long trip with kid.

2 night Family City BreakPosted Feb 23, 2014
Pros: Location is fantastic. Mostly friendly staff.
Location: We didn't know where to go for breakfast and was discussing it on the way out when one of the security guards overheard us and told us to go round the
After a long journey, the check in staff were not very welcoming, but the concierge were helpful and funny. The only thing about the room was that one of the bed sheets was ripped, it was at the bottom and I didn't mention it.

Not 4 star qualityPosted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: The Urban Bar next door. That was new. Starbucks in the lobby.
Cons: OVERHALL THE ENTIRE HOTEL, new decor, new carpets, Paint., Decor.....
Location: A little to close to the Tenderloin Section of the city. Lots of homeless people asking for money.
Very Tired. Needs an update. Dirty walls and carpet. Ripped bed skirt. View of parking garage. Lobby is dirty. More of a three star hotel.
