Very comfortable, homelike place. Great location t

Posted Aug 3, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff. I mentioned my suitcase zipper problem to the housekeeping lady and she got me the maintenance guy who lent me the pliers to fix it.
Cons: Very good for the price.
Location: Everything you want to do - shop, eat, sight seeing - is nerby
Enjoyed San Francisco - 4 days and nights - with this place as base. Every things is nearby. Reasonably good breakfast and friendly staff. This experience made me go for HI Express again in Chicago.

Good location to Wharf, bay, shopping, food, muni

Posted Aug 1, 2015
Pros: Almost everything; staff, bed, cleanliness.
Cons: Our room was next to pipes which made noise. Our view was non-existent, another wall. Elevators were often slow.
Location: Easy walk to Fisherman's Wharf with shopping, restaurants, ferry, aquarium, cable car and muni, Ghirardellis, biking, bay.
Staff was very helpful. There were many breakfast choices. The room and hotel were always neat and clean. The bed was wonderful- I would like to know the brand and style. Location was great.

Nice, clean hotel

Posted Jul 31, 2015
This is a nice, clean hotel in a great location on Fisherman's Wharf. It's also the only one we could find with free breakfast, which was great! We were able to check in early and the hotel stored our luggage in a secure place on our checkout day so that we could fit in a few last activities before coming back to get on our shuttle to the airport.

Nice location but expensive

Posted Jul 31, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Pricing and breakfast
Location: Fisherman's Wharf
Room rates were expensive given it is "Express". parking is limited to valet parking and again very very expensive.

Well situated good value hotel

Posted Jul 30, 2015
Pros: Location. Cleanliness. Easy check in and out, had parking facilities if needed
Cons: Breakfast was good with plenty of choice but the cooked part could have been better
Location: Short walk to Fisherman's Wharf and its attractions, close to bike rental and cable car stop. Easy access to buses to get Downtown
Really good hotel, very easy access to the places that we wanted to visit. Had a great time visiting San Francisco

Good hotel in the heart of the action

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: Courteous staff, spacious room, location was awesome.
Cons: Parking could be cheaper.....
Location: Fishermen's Wharf is nearby, quick walk to Lombard Street, Pier 39
We had a great experience at this hotel. We arrived before noon, and they allowed us to get checked in to a room when the normal check in wasn't until 3:00p. The complimentary breakfast was also outstanding, and well stocked. The location of the hotel puts you right near the Fishmen's Wharf, and within walking distance of many other attractions. The only two frustrations I had was that the air conditioner didn't seem to cool the room off as much as I preferred, and the valet parking was around $60 per day (and there was no option to self park at the hotel).

On the Wharf

Posted Jul 24, 2015
Pros: Its location! We felt we were right in the midst of the tourist section of the city. My daughter also enjoyed the complimentary breakfasts.
Cons: The rates could have been less, but realize that all the hotels have to be competitive.
Location: Many activities including bike and Segway rentals, restaurants, souvenir shops, tour bus pick-up spots, Ghiradelli chocolate, and a cable car stop.
We enjoyed being close to Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. The concierge was also extremely helpful in arranging tours and providing assistance for us. The location was very close to the stops for the tours that we took. We also were a block from the F bus line that connected us to the metro transportation system. All in all, we enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Express and would recommend it to friends and family.

CLASSIC over-priced due to location

Posted Jul 20, 2015
Hotel smells. Hallways on 3rd floor smell like vomit. Room smells like smoke, even though hotel is no smoking hotel? Showers make horrible noise when turned on. Front desk staff on check-out were rude. Bed was uncomfortable! Not worth it! Will NEVER stay here again.

Great location, very clean hotel!

Posted Jul 9, 2015
Pros: location, rooms, cleanliness, free breakfast
Cons: nothing
Location: easy to get to anything at Fisherman's Wharf
Great hotel with perfect location--easy to walk to any destination in Fisherman's Wharf and just a short walk to the cable car connection. They do charge for parking, but we didn't have a car so it didn't affect us. The continental breakfast was actually really good with lots of selections including hot & cold items. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. The hotel staff were also very friendly.
