Nice hotel close to SFO/downtown SF.Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: It felt clean, close to SF and safe.
Cons: The staff were competent, but not particularly friendly.
Location: We went to SF both days, and it was not hard to get into the city at all.
This was a nice, clean hotel. We were not able to take advantage of the suite since we only stayed one night, but it was nice to know that the option was available.

Pleasant, Low-Cost Option for trips to San FranPosted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: Staff, price of room
Cons: Minor improvement would be shower head...mine was functionaly but seems due for a replacement as some of the jets seemed clogged. But that is minor.
Location: Area is pleasant and feels very safe but is devoid of much to do or places to dine. This hotel is a good base (close to 101) to travel from.
Great value in over-priced San Francisco area. You will have to drive to get to city, etc. but very positive cost-benefit analysis when compared to staying in a decent hotel in San Francisco. Staff is positive/nice/courteous. Hotel is everything you would expect from a Homewood Suites.

Anniversary stayPosted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: The hotel was clean and the staff was great, the house keeper even went out of her way to get us extra towels before we left for the day.
Cons: The breakfast was good, would not say excellent, but at least we did not have to leave to get it.. .
Location: San Francisco is minutes away. We also visited Half Moon Bay, and Santa Cruz while we were there. Everything is so convenient to this location.
We had a great time here. this hotel was very convenient to all the places we were planning to visit. I would recommend this hotel if you are planning on an extended stay having a Kitchen was great for midnight snacks when you get back from a long day and need a snack, they have pop corn in the room which was a perfect late night snack.

Good Value but..Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, good breakfast everyday.
Cons: Rules enforced on noise hours, and having kitchens in the room will bring ants.
Location: near the airport and quick drive to downtown.
our room had sugar ants that got into my bag and all over my clothes. Also, the family next to us did not go to bed until 3am, 3 nights in a row. I called the front desk and nothing changed. The breakfast was good and my kids enjoyed the pool. No second bed, just a hide-a-bed for the kids.

Great hotel. A real home away from home.Posted Jul 12, 2014
I loved this hotel. The staff was helpful at every turn. The breakfast (daily) and dinner (M-Th) was delicious. The bed with those fluffy pillows were dreamy.. Ultimately, having a full-size refrigerator, microwave, and 2 burner stove top is priceless when you don't want to eat out all the time. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Nice hotel, very near San Francisco and airportPosted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: Kitchenette, free breakfast, dinner Mon to Thursday. Short trips to San Francisco. Only 15 minutes to the SF zoo and Golden Gate Park.
Cons: Insulation between rooms. Housecleaning tended to forget to leave dishwashing powder and paper towels.
Location: About 15 minutes from airport and main San Francisco. Also near smaller towns such as South San Francisco and San Bruno.
I wasn't quite sure what to rate this hotel. It was a beautiful hotel, great amenities, kitchenette, breakfast and dinner Monday to Thursday. The bad part was the original room we were assigned was right next to the highways and the commuter trains. Avoid rooms 101,201,301 and 401. It is not pleasant hearing trains start up at 5:30 am and not end until midnight. Luckily, I asked the staff if we could get another room. About halfway through the stay, they did find another room with a view of the marina. You could still hear trains, but nowhere near as badly as the original room. Many families stay here, so be prepared for noisy children. Breakfast and dinner were included in the price of the room; that saved us a lot of money.

I wish I could give it 10 starts. The most comfortable bed I've slept in. I stayed here at the end of my trip and had intended to explore San Francisco my last day, but the comfort of the room changed my mind. Instead I relaxed in the wonderful king-sized bed and left incredibly refreshed. Plus, I was able to check in early, which made my day so much easier. Thanks, Homewood! Looking forward to my next visit!!!
