“Great Location”
Good hotel, comfortable rooms and great location. Highly recommend.
“Great location to a variety of entertainment”
Wonderful staff at Hotel Abri.
“Fabulous!”
Amazing location, great staff, smell good, I would go back there anytime!
“Excellent hotel and friendly staff in superb location”
The staff was very helpful with everything we asked. The location was superb, just half a block from Powell and 2 blocks away from Union Square. I would return without thinking about it.
“Awesome stay!”
We had a great time at the hotel Abri! Be prepared for a super small room though! It was so tiny! The staff, however, were incredible, the location was perfect and is in the heart of all the trendy shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay there again.
“Top Hotel and Location”
Before choosing the Hotel Abri we trawled through numerous possibilities but we were not disappointed with our final choice at all! We wanted a hotel with the San Fran charm and character as well as the best location for getting around but which was also close to the shops and restaurants…and this place provided us with everything! From the moment we were first served at the front desk we knew we had chosen well, very friendly with a charming warm smile…just what you need after a long flight from NZ. The warm and homely feeling of the lobby extended to the staff and rooms. With the hotel style being more ‘boutique’ we were conscious of room space as we have 2 teenage boys (13 & 15) but this wasn’t a problem. As we were not spending a lot of time in the room space wasn’t that important to us, saying that though the room easily fitted 4 adult sized people, 3 large cases and 4 backpacks. The beds were comfy; room and bathroom were clean and well furnished with lovely warm colours. There was free internet and morning coffee in the lobby and the hotel had a walkway into an adjoining bar/restaurant which was great. As you exit the hotel there are a number of eateries on the doorstep, Indian, Italian and Chinese to name a few, as well as a Subway. The Cablecar is right outside the door so easy travelling to Fishermans Wharf and there are shops galore. This hotel is THE ideal place to stay and great value for money…we would book here again in a heartbeat if we came back to SF!!
“Not impressed”
I was very dissapointed with the hotel. The only good thing is the location. The room, which I had asked for a king bed with a separate room with a sofa bed for my two kids was small and crowded. We could barely fit our luggage and I was forced to move around furniture to be able to walk around, in both rooms. The bed was very uncomfortable, we felt like there was a hole in the middle. The mere two windows of the hotel room are filthy so dont bother looking out. It was not until the third time I asked that I got extra towels and the refrigerator never worked well, even though they checked it. Next time I will definitely stay elsewhere....
“very nice”
very nice and clean, good service from the personel, small room. location- not the best.
“Nice hotel, spotty neighborhood”
This hotel is a relatively recently remodeled hotel (you can tell it's an old building, but plumbing, carpets, bedding, decoration, etc., are all new). My room was comfortable and well decorated. My only complaint is that the shower head had low pressure--not so low as to make it difficult to shower, but low nonetheless (don't know if that had to do with a low-flow shower head or low water pressure). The neighborhood outside the hotel is somewhat spotty, but not too bad. If you're not used to spotty urban environments, you might not like it much. On the plus side, it's only a couple of blocks from the Muni/BART station at Powell. There are a number of restaurants and clubs not far away, also ACT theater.
“Great hotel!”
I was traveling to San Fran for buiness and wanted a decent place in the city near the Bart line. This hotel surpassed all of my expectations. Located just 1 block from the Powell St bart station and within walking distance to all of the great areas in the city. The hotel has a very cool modern / urban feel that made the stay very comfortable and the staff was excellent. No complaints at all.
