Quiet hotel near BART stationPosted May 26, 2015
This quite hotel was in a perfect location to walk, to ride the cable car, to use BART to go to the airport...the structure was a bit old and it smells like old, but furniture, bathroom and every every detail was renew and very clean. Staff was nice and friendly. Price very affordable for San Francisco!

Pros: Free Internet worked well, even during the busy hours (late evenings). Bed was comfortable.
Hotel Abri provided me a comfortable bed in the middle of everything going on. It was near to the Moscone Center and provided no real frills. But in a city like San Francisco, I don't need frills, I just need a nice bed and a warm shower.

Great hotel close to shopping and theatresPosted May 22, 2015
Pros: front desk offered an upgrade.
Cons: bed could be more comfortable. quieter.
Location: There is are several restaurants nearby, Westfield mall is down the street.triage
This is my second stay at Hotel Abri. I had originally booked a queen bed, but asked the front desk if they had a room with a king bed. They were so nice to upgrade me to the oasis suite. The room had a living room with flat screen tv, free wifi, desk, nice bathrrom, and separate bedroom area with flat screen tv. The bed was a little hard and the noise from the street were the only cons. The Westfield mall is 1/2 block away.

Disappointing, Noisy, Below grade bookedPosted May 21, 2015
Pros: The location
Had reserved a deluxe King for 2 nights, and had requested high floor. Arrived, all high floors (only 5 stories), were already gone (yes, sure!). Supposedly only 2 rooms were left, and I got one on the second floor above the entrance door. I entered a minuscule room, and saw the smallest bathroom with only a shower. Called the front desk and ask for a bath, the way you would expect for a deluxe King for which there was a higher charge. First they were going to call me back. Waited; called back; was told they were busy, they would call me back; waited; finally was called back, probably a half hour of waiting in all; was told that there would be nothing else for me. They did not have a cleaner to send to the room I had waited in so I had to stay there. I was told the following day they could move me to another room. Noise, noise, noise, all night, with monster street carving going on day and night, trucks parking and unloaded their heavy equipment in front of the hotel, hearing the workers screaming. This is an old building with old windows that let all the street noise in. The wood trims in the bedroom looked worn, the way things look when aged and painted over numerous time. Following day was moved to an even smaller room, and still no bath. Had to walk on our bags and crawl the walls to move around the king size bed. Do yourself a favor and stay at a modern hotel with much better accommodation. Needless to say the bill was way too high for what was received.

Great spot in Union SquarePosted May 21, 2015
I had mis-booked my wife & I into the wrong hotel. I then switched to the Abri Hotel, for the remainder of our vacation. The comparison of the previous hotel, made the Abri stand out even more. The Abri is very clean and modern, we must've had a 50" TV in our room, and the location in San Francisco was very nice. It's right next to where the Trolly starts & a block away from the Westfield Mall, in the Union Square District. More than anything, their staff really stood out as friendly & ultra accommodating. We will stay here again when we re-visit San Francisco.

Convenient!!!Posted May 15, 2015
Convenient if planning on visiting downtown San Francisco only. Personel is nice and friendly, Jacob is a great guy. Cleaniness its ok, found some stains on bed blanket/comforter not good! Parking is really expensive, but every single hotel in the area will charge you about the same...

Good location, clean hotel, short bedsPosted May 12, 2015
Pros: It's well situated, with friendy staff.
Cons: Would it break the bank to offer a free bottle of water in the room rather than charging $4?
Location: Very convenient for shopping on Market Street, or for the cable car terminus - and great transport communications for all SF
For a short stay in downtown San Francisco, the Hotel Abri is fine - clean, central, and with friendly staff. Although styled as 'boutique', this is like a chain hotel in its set-up and room plan. Its rooms are a decent size, although the beds are pretty short so not good for tall people unless you sleep diagonally across the bed. Despite being in the heart of the city, the rooms are quiet. It's a shame breakfast isn't offered on site, although the concierge provides a list of nearby diners.

Boutique Hotel off Powell LinePosted May 12, 2015
Pros: Staff was a dream.
Cons: Counter space in bathroom. King bed room was literally only big enough for two, I certainly wouldn't get that room for anyone other than a couple.
Location: Walk to the trolley at Powell. Right by Union Square, tons of shops and restaurants.
Bellman was wonderful, he showed us around our room and where everything was. Bed was comfortable. Rooms are small, as are the bathrooms. Only problem is there wasn't counterspace in the bathroom to put my items, just a small glass shelf by the door. The interior is charming and you can tell it was an old building, but in a cool way... Staff was always very helpful and cheerful. Absolutely wonderful staff. Valeting your car however is $50/day! yikes. Take that into consideration when comparing rates with other area hotels (though I'm sure other hotels charge a hefty fee as well...)
