Basic, but goodPosted Dec 22, 2014
Pros: Facilities; wifi, breakfast, kid friendly atmosphere and neighbourhood.
Cons: Deco and revamping the rooms.
Location: we love the neighbourhood. Great shopping nearby, really lovely places to eat, including sushi bars and a Mels diner and ihop for the kids!
We've stayed here twice now and there is something about the vivid colours and kid friendly style of this hotel that draws us back each time. The good points: It has wi-fi; comfortable beds; easy parking (for $10 per day) and it's in a good location for us, we love that part of town and it's easy access to the 101 highway. Our kids also love the fact they can go into reception area and get themselves some cookies and lemonade and that it feels like it's a hotel that caters to them. The bad points: The decor could be better, we found that the room was comfortable, but it seemed like it was a paint cover up job and there was a cold musty smell in the room when we arrived, indicating some damp. The price of the room seemed alot for what we were getting. $217 for one night was high and we felt that we could have probably got a higher end hotel for that money if we had shopped around a bit. But saying all that we know what we are going to get with Hotel Del Sol, so we always opt for it because we know it will be easy to book and we know where it is and the facilities etc. We will definetely book here again in the future, but if a better deal comes up on a comparison website at a higher end hotel then we would probably book it. The price can be expensive if staying here for a few nights. We have recommended it to friends and they have chosen not to book because the price was prohibitive....which is a shame because it has everything else going for it.

Birthday & concert stay.Posted Dec 8, 2014
Pros: Dog friendly, but CLEAN.
Location: Fisherman's Wharf is also close.
Brought my wife here for her birthday, from Reno. We both had a great time. Easy trolley or cab ride to The Fillmore. Loved the courtyard. Great spot to chill and have a glass of wine.

Tired HotelPosted Dec 8, 2014
Cons: Tear it down.
My reserved room, king bed, was not available at time of check in. Plumbing problem. Hmm. Was given shoebox size room with smaller bed and barely any amenities. Thank goodness we did have two towels and two hand towels for the two of us. Picked this hotel because of location but will go out of my way to avoid this hotel in the future.

Good for a family tripPosted Dec 6, 2014
Cons: the breakfast
Location: very close to the bay so you can walk (20mn)
The only bemol is the lack of breakfast room so you've to take your breakfast in your room which is not really equiped for that... Other than that, the motel is quite good

Nice, but could have been betterPosted Nov 29, 2014
Pros: I liked the bed. Really comfy and the location in the Marina/Cow Hollow area. It was nice.
Cons: The noise level.
Location: Shopping and restaurants and boutiques.
I was pleased with my room but unfortunately someone with 2 very noisy children let them run wild downstairs in the courtyard and that ruined sleeping in. I was on the 3rd floor and the kids were so loud that I could hear them yelling all the way up there in my room. I also didn't like the parking situation. Yes, grateful that there was parking in jam-packed San Francisco, but was literally an alley parking lot with broken glass, rocks and potholes in the asphalt. It was pretty noisy there in general because it is located near a really busy street and they were also in the process of painting the building which made really bad smell.

Bra lägePosted Oct 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Fint och rent i rummet. Bra läge - låg nära lokal shopping- och restauranggata men också inte så långt ifrån gamla hamnområdet.
