Saturated With Cigarette Smoke

Posted Sep 24, 2014
Pros: The staff.
Cons: Stop advertising the rooms as non-smoking or remove the carpeting, re-paint and enforce non-smoking rule. Replace splintered & damaged door moldings.
Location: N/A
The hotel staff were wonderful, as were the housekeeping staff. The room I was issued was saturated with cigarette smoke! When I first opened the door I actually lurched backwards and started gagging. All the bedding reeked and by the following morning all my clothing in and out of my luggage smelled like cigarettes. I showered to get it out of my hair but my clothing reeked so badly the rest of my trip to Ohio was just awful!!! I would not recommend this hotel and will never stay there again.

Close to airport

Posted Sep 20, 2014
I needed a place to stay that was close to the airport and with shuttle transportation. Hotel Focus was great! And the price on Expedia wasn't all that bad. I was picked up from SFO and also dropped back off in the morning. The room was updated( I stayed on the second floor) flat screen TV, desk, shower/tub,bed was comfy with no stains. I think maybe the bathroom needed a little color. All white is not my thing. It's a little small but that didnt bother me. Sink on the outside of the bathroom which is like other places I've stayed in SF. Overall I was pleased with my stay. There's also a gas station, Starbucks and Wendy's a block away which I thought was a plus.

Pros: there is a shuttle to the airport

Location: there is only a DENYS five minutes walking, but you have to pass the highway and a bridge.Inthe night it is mot recommandable
no hangers and no telefone in the room, just one light, dirty WC, they didnt find the reservation by expedia in the PC and we had to show it on my tablet, they promised to change the situation, but nothing hapened, breakfastroom small and always overcrowded, breakfast minimum offers

More like a Motel

Posted Sep 18, 2014
Location: Close to SF airport
Arrived at location, there were 2 dozen bikers staying there with loud motorcycles. Tried to check in, Clerk was not very attentive, also tried to charge for parking which was stated free on expedia. Room is very disappointing, bedsheets of low quality, no power outlet by bed, bathroom had plumbing noises every 10 minutes. Overall, would rather pay more for a better hotel, would not come back.

Cheap...quick fix remodel

Posted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: Near airport and easy access to freeway
Cons: Remodel not pay for parking
Pictures look good on internet however remodel looks cheap and done sloppy....seen excess grout just left in restroom...could hear everything!...people just walking in walkway. Not only that you still have to pay for parking!

You get what you pay for.

Pros: The staff is friendly. Quiet room.
Cons: Everything.
Location: Near all other airport hotels and very close to the 101.
The hotel is situated near the airport but surprisingly you don't hear the airport noise. The rooms are decent size but they are in dire need of renovating. The beds are average in terms of comfort, but lighting is poor as there is only one lamp on one the side of the bed. There is no shower cap available even in the vending machine so my wife had to wrap her hair in a towel to take a shower. Breakfast? don't get me started. It is a joke. Only plus was lack of noise at night and shower drain that did not get clogged. It is advertised that parking is free, however they charged $5/night. Elevator never worked.
