Happy traveler.Posted Jun 24, 2015
Pros: Liked unique old style building with comfortable rooms.
Cons: Make more sound proof from outside noise at night.
Location: Near shops, buses and everything is in walking distance. Lovely for people who like exploring.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Ideally located.

NOT recommendedPosted Jun 23, 2015
Pros: The housekeeping staff was thorough, and our room did seem very clean.
Cons: Coffee in the rooms, a functional shower, actual flooring.
Location: It's in union square, which isn't exactly ideal unless you want to be in union square. It's very noisy 24/7. The hotel did provide ear plugs.
I would not recommend this hotel. The floors are unfinished with exposed concrete, there are no coffee makers in the rooms, and the showers were completely non-functional. This was like a motel with some fancy art on the walls.

Convenient and boutiquePosted Jun 20, 2015
Well located and friendly staff. However, depending on what room you get can be chic boutique or small and dark. Recommend if staying for a short trip and not expecting extras.

Nice Hotel but not my cup of tea.Posted Jun 19, 2015
Pros: People were nice, room was clean.

Location: Centrally located
I gave the boutique hotel thing a try and it's not for me. People were nice, room was clean but not my style.

Central location in Union SquarePosted Jun 19, 2015
Pros: central location, but without the insane SF price
Cons: It can take their valet service 30-40 minutes to retrieve your car and get it to you. That isn't them being slow, it's the reality of SF traffic
Location: lots of high-end retail stores and art galleries.
Hotel G is located on Geary street just a block or two up from Union Square. You're right in the middle of lots of shopping and it is an easy walk (maybe a mile) up to the Financial District and the Ferry Building. The rooms are clean and neat, but not luxurious. Great bathrobe, and the bathroom had been recently updated. The staff is wonderful - kind and helpful.

Met our needs.Posted Jun 17, 2015
Pros: Convenient location, helpful front desk staff.
Cons: Cleaning staff started every morning at 8:00am on our floor making it noisy and difficult to sleep in on our vacation.
Location: Close to shopping and cable cars.
Good experience overall. Enjoyed the service recieved but had wished the cleaning staff had started later in the morning...loudly knocking on doors and vacuuming at 8:00am in the morning didn't make for relaxing mornings.

Fantastic location - right next to Union Square and opposite to the Pinecrest Diner. Very clean and modern room, huge comfortable bed, free WiFi, and friendly staff.
