Loved everything about this hotel! Adjacent to fantasted shopping and dining. We almost felt like we were back in Tokyo, minus the millions of people.

Nice hotel in a good area

Pros: Its location is in a nice part of town and the hotel is most pleasant with friendly staff.
Cons: Fix the shower. The minibar prices were a bit high - $8 for a litre bottle of water, $4 for a candy bar (Snickers).
Location: Lots of good restaurants close by. We were going out of town next day so cannot comment further.
Checking in was smooth, receptionist disappointed that we were only staying the one night. Nice part of city (Japantown) with a number of Japanese, Chinese and Korean restaurants and businesses. Room and ensuite larger than we had expected. The shower didn't work - reported on checking out - so took a bath instead - very comfortable. Japanese theme to hotel, its décor and Japanese garden. Lady at reception very pleasant and helpful. Loved the fresh fruit for the buffet breakfast.

Pros: Location.
Location: Japanese town was fun! It was like we were in Japan.
I took my parents to San Francisco for their summer vacation this year. We loved the location and the area of the Hotel. San Francisco is a magical city with many different attractions.

Pros: Loved the scent of green tea that greeted me each time I entered the hotel. Room was clean and comfortable and staff was professional.
Location: Japantown mall was just outside the hotel doors, great shopping and eating! Walking distance to Union Square shopping. Located in a nice neighborhood.
Spent a week there and enjoyed every minute of it. Staff was pleasant and professional. Room was clean and comfortable.

An Oasis

Pros: The bathroom had a separate shower and the room was nicely decorated.
Cons: Provide a small eating area with American cuisine (sandwiches, etc) A shuttle to wharf would be great asset.
Location: We spent the time at The Wharf where we took various tours.
Exactly as described in website. It was clean, had everything described and the staff was friendly and efficient. The location was not the best since there were no American restaurants in area and it was about 2 miles to the Wharf. Wefound a taxi the best way to get back at night.

Nice Hotel, conveniently located in Japan Town

Pros: Location and atmosphere. Wonderful Japanese style bath.
Cons: Needs some updating.
Location: Center of San Francisco. Near the Fillmore area. Easy by bus to all areas - Haight Ashbury, Presidio, Warf, Golden Gate Park, China Town.
Staff is very professional and friendly. My room had an extra bed that had been brought in a propped up against the wall, as if expecting a 3 rd person or child to be in the room, even though it had not been requested. It blocked the view of the TV. It remained there for 3 days, until finally a maid was able to have it removed.
