普通のホテル。施設のわりには値段が高すぎ。

Posted Apr 24, 2015
Pros:

Lovely Japanese-themed Hotel near Japantown

Posted Apr 12, 2015
Located near Japantown, Hotel Kabuki offers excellent suites for its guests. The design seems quasi-Japanese. The bathroom was very spacious and includes a bath tub with excellent water pressure. Room is neat and spacious. There is a nearby parking lot which offers great rates. However, the hotel is catered towards the higher income guests, thus you need to be loaded to utilise the room services.

The aging Grand Dame is still charming

Posted Mar 31, 2015
Pros: The location, staff, decor.
Cons: The building can be updated a bit.
Location: Great location. Japantown is close to everything yet safe and relatively quiet.
I stayed for 5 nights at Kabuki Hotel while traveling for work. I decided to stay there since I have fond memories of staying at this hotel when it was Miyako Hotel. The glory days of Miyako may be behind us, but I found Kabuki Hotel still charming and pleasant. Although the building has aged somewhat (haven't we all?), all the lovely touches are the same (e.g., the soaking tub, Japanese-inspired decor, koi-pond garden, fruit-infused water and coffee service in the lobby, etc.). The front desk staff (Domingo) was highly helpful and very courteous. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. A definite bonus was the view that I got in my 15th flr room; watching the day break over the city and the sun set on the Bay (I could see a sliver of the water) on my balcony was delightful. As was the sake-tasting in the lobby on Friday afternoon. The location, Japantown, is excellent. It is accessible to all the areas of interest but is still relatively quiet (it is a city, so it can't be completely quiet) and safe. There are lots of restaurants and bars in or near the area to choose from. I would definitely stay here again in my next trip to SF.

Shower head needs replacing. Difficult to find good early morning coffee close to the hotel. Most places with in a block or two don't open until 9am. Hotel is generally in good shape and the staff really are great! Also, the restaurants around Filmore are quite good especially, Bun Mee, the Grove and Sweet Maple.

Pros: The aesthetics are lovely but the hotel is outdated and a bit sullied. It is centrally located and close to a lot of attractions.
Cons: Deep clean and update the rooms and common spaces.
Location: Japantown is great, the Fillmore is just down the street, and there are great restaurants and shopping close by.
We were initially given a room that had not been cleaned and was full of trash. When I went back down and told the front desk, he sent us up to another room, but didn't offer to assist us or make any amends for the error. The room we were given was not altogether clean. The bathroom floor was sticky and the threshold was dirty. The carpets were matted and didn't look clean. The room was comfortable, but not worth the high room rate. The advertised "Japanese Soaking Tub" was not as deep or comfortable as my claw foot at home.

While we're pleased to have welcomed you, we're deeply sorry to hear of these concerns associated with your accommodations and for the initial error in your room placement. We'll most certainly follow-up with the team to explore the incident and prevent recurrence, and we appreciate your time in bringing this to our attention. With a significant upgrade in the works, we hope that you'll afford us the opportunity to welcome you back and to share our site and services at their more standard and refined.
