Fine stay

Nothing too crazy here - not wonderful. Not horrible. Nice for the price though, I will say that. I paid the same amount to stay at a horrible hostel-turned-hotel in LA. This place seemed like a palace in comparison.

Beautiful Hotel in Nice Area

Posted Jun 25, 2015
I was very impressed with quality of hotel and area for the price. I loved the architecture and ambience. The claw foot tub was awsome and beds were very comfortable. It is situated in clean and safe neighborhood easily accessible to city sights. Staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again.

Lovely old hotel

Posted Jun 23, 2015
Pros: Old fashioned charm. Good sized rooms. Near to bus routes so easy to get anywhere. A useful form detailed how to get to the main attractions.
Cons: Staff seemed more interested in their computers than us Little things- torn net curtains, a screw holding up the wallpaper, filthy china dogs !Yuk!
Impressive facade and entrance hall . Dining area also well maintained. Helpful breakfast waitress , very attentive.

Traditional hotel at a very reasonable price

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: Old school charm/decor.
Cons: Water pressure in the shower
Location: Great location
This was our second time at the Majestic. All was delivered as expected. This is an older boutique type hotel with many of the things today's travelers expect, wifi, flat screens, etc. The bathroom has upgraded but maintained a lot of the old fixtures, so dont be surprised when you see the wrap around shower curtain in a claw foot tub. Friday night we met some friend in the hotel bar and the bartender kept it open just for us, so you have to like the customer service.

Clean room & good location = good choice

Posted Jun 21, 2015
-We only booked this room because of the discounted price on Expedia otherwise it would have been too expensive. -staff was friendly and accommodating we asked them to call a taxi for us and that's it the room has everything listed on their site. -room was small but cozy we just needed it for one night after an event so we barely were in the room. Room was clean and stocked with the essentials. -only thing would be needing more sunlight (curtains were hard to handle) and better lighting in the bathroom (for ladies especially) -good hotel at a great location!

Pros: The location was great just and just around the corner was the bus to take you to union station,
Cons: What would of been nice is to have coffee and tea making in the room for the travellers,
Our experience over all was fine, The room had a musty smell and I'm sure that could be rectified quite easily. The staff on the front desk were helpful to us each time that I needed to know about something in and around the area.,

Looks can be deceiving

Posted Jun 20, 2015
Pros: Location and decor
Cons: Shower water pressure
Location: Catch the 47 bus to fishermans wharf 10 blocks to union square
The pics on the listing did not do this place justice. It's an old converted mansion with plenty of chic. Room 512 is definitely a pick of the bunch. With a short stroll to downtown and transport n shops 2 blocks away. The decor and style of the place is like a movie set really cool. Room had plenty of space and very comfortable.
