“Great hotel for Bay Area visit.”

Previous experience with this hotel led us back for this visit. Desk staff was very helpful about moving us to a higher floor. The room was on the small side but very comfortable and clean and just right for what we needed.

“Great Hotel!!”

Love Hotel Monaco. Late night room service, not so much. The manager was very apologetic and removed the tab from our bill immediately. Nice large bathrooms, very clean, high end linens were much appreciated.

“Immaculate!!! Friendly service, very clean, great location.”

I spent three nights with my fiancee and I was thouroughly impressed. I would not hesitate to return. The hotel is in a great location if you want to catch a show or do some shopping at Union Square. The concierge was very friendly and helpful. They reserved us a table at one of the best restaurants in Napa Valley, Auberge Du Soleil. For never having been in San Francisco, they made the stay very enjoyable. The hotel itself is very well decorated and the Grand Cafe is great for breakfast, the food is very good. Highly recomended hotel!

“Can't say enough about our experience”

I selected this hotel based on location, price, and the reviews I read on Expedia. We were not disappointed. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The service was excellent. We had a lovely and quiet room with queen bed. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate were served in the living room off the lobby each morning until about 11. From 5 to 6 each evening there was a complimentary wine reception where you could also receive a chair massage. We only ate one breakfast at the hotel, but it was excellent. We found a great diner two blocks away where we ate the other mornings. Hotel location was superb, within walking distance of Chinatown, North Beach, Pier 39 and Fisherman's Pier. A wide array of stores was only two blocks away. I would recommend this hotel without reservation.

“We will return”

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel. The room was beautifully decorated. I especially liked the window seat and the huge mioror. I also like it that the hotel is pet friendly. Next time I will bring my Cocker Spaniel.

“Very nice hotel....definitely would recommend!”

We recently stayed in one of the queen canopy bed rooms. The room was very nice and well decorated. It seemed like the hotel thought of every little detail when they furnished the rooms - there was even a CD player with speakers and also an Ipod dock on the clock radio. The hotel in very centrally located to most attactions and close to a trolley stop. I would recommend that you check out the daily wine tasting hour (complimentary) that is located in the hotel "living room". Despite the hotel being oet friendly, it was very clean with no noticable pet odors. They even have goldfish there that you can borrow to be your temporary oet during your stay there. The only bad thing that I should mention about this hotel is that it is located very close to the Tenderloin area (very bad section of town), so I would recommend that you stay on the main street after dark and avoid the side streets.

really enjoyed the Grand Cafe Brasserie. You will die an incomplete death without trying the Banana Cream Pie. Rooms were tiny but snug.Staff very accommodating and friendly, great lobby fireplace.
