In the heart of San Francisco

Posted Feb 27, 2015
Pros: Its luxurious but homey stay.
Cons: Can't think of a thing to be changed. Hopefully, stay the way you are.
Location: Lots of shopping within walking distance!
Fabulous stay!! Upon check-in was updated to a spacious suite to accommodate my previous requests, if possible, for highest floor with a view. Received a corner room with views on both sides on the 18th floor. The check-in staff were very welcoming and helpful, as well as, the attendants upon arrival. Received the same welcoming and friendly service at their restaurant, ANZU.

Comfortable stay, yet surprising extra charges on

Posted Feb 25, 2015
Pros: location
Cons: Needs a makeup mirror in the bathroom, (asked for 1) & include Std. internet access in the rooms.
Location: prime downtown locale
Didn't see that the Health Club was additinal charge, so needed to pay $25USD upon arrival-nice pool area though with jacuzzi & outdoor tanning area.

Nice Hotel Close to Union Square

Posted Feb 23, 2015
Pros: The cleanliness of the hotel, the professional and helpful staff, and the nice, large rooms.
Location: Shopping and plenty of restaurants
The staff were professional, kind and efficient. Hotel Nikko offers rooms on Imperial floors, which provides a continental breakfast and happy hour. The Imperial Room staff are very attentive and the food and drinks offered are plentiful. Overall, the hotel is impressive and I would highly recommend it. Plus, it is close to Union Square shopping and many great restaurants!

Top Notch Service

Posted Feb 23, 2015
Pros: Once we walked through the doors into the hotel, everything was made easy for us-- nice facilities and remarkable staff.
We stayed as a family of four on vacation. At some hotels, business travelers get the "white glove" treatment while families are treated more casually (or as an annoyance). Every member of the Nikko staff treated both our kids and us as royalty-- every bit as well as the business travelers. It was an absolute pleasure staying at the Nikko.

Not dog friendly after all

Posted Feb 20, 2015
I booked this hotel because it claimed to be dog friendly and when I called to ask I was told there was a park 2 blocks away where my dog could go potty. Not true at all. If a hotel claims to be dog friendly but doesn't have a small patch of grass or fake grass at least on the roof, it is not dog friendly. We paid $50 extra per night to have our dog here and she has no where to go? Also, they told us once arriving only that she is not allowed to be left alone in a crate, so we couldn't go out for dinner or anything. The hotel has restaurants and bars, but none with a patio where our dog could join us. So, we were stuck with their terrible tasting and grossly overpriced room service. When I went to speak with a manager she was a little rude but did agree to take the room service bill off. Also, this hotel adds fees on for everything and I believe is a rip off.

High quality Hotel near public transportation

Posted Feb 19, 2015
Pros: We appreciated the proximity to BART making traveling from and to SFO very easy.
Cons: I would suggest that the hotel provide complimentary Internet access for all guestrooms.
Location: There are several good restaurants in the area. For those looking for exercise it is a short walk up Nob and Russian Hills which we took advantage of.
Overall we had a good stay. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly.
