便利な場所のホテル

Posted Jul 31, 2015

Never stay here

Posted Jul 29, 2015
No AC in the room, only view was a wall 6 feet away and the fire escape, blocked me in my parking space with another car and lost the keys

Great location near Union Center

Posted Jul 23, 2015
Great staff, clean room but regular room is small. Window ac unit is noisey. Location is right on trolley line and two blocks from Market St. Lots of restaurants, bars and sopping close by. A bit pricey but everything in this area was expensive.

Charming boutique hotel in the heart of SF

Posted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: charming, personal
Cons: housekeeping was a little off - second night short on towels, parking valet was a little grumpy
Location: excellent
My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to stay for business and pleasure. We both had meetings in the city and it was my birthday so needed to combine both. This hotel is very quaint and reminded me of some hotels during my travels to Europe. The nice little touches were the free happy hour at 5pm, and there was a guy playing the guitar. he had a full range of music and even sang happy birthday to me. The concierge then brought me a box of chocolate. Big bathrooms and comfy beds, and walking distance to most everything. I would definitely come here again.

Great location and great service

Posted Jul 14, 2015
Location: China town, Embarcadero boulevard, Fisherman's Warf.
You couldn't get a better location when visiting San Francisco, right downtown. Walking distance to many attractions. I took a long and pleasant walk on Market street to Embarcadero boulevard and Fisherman's Warf from the hotel. Walgreens is right across from the hotel with a good takeout section, so you never have to worry about getting food or drink. Also, a restaurant next door and many other eating options in the area. If you want to ride a cable car, it's just a short block away. All major stores for shopping, like Ross, Marshals, Macy's are also a walk away. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I got a good deal for the room (considering how expensive San Francisco is), but it must have been the smallest room in the hotel, although it was very clean. It could only fit a bed, the window was tiny facing a wall of another building, lucky I was only coming to the hotel to sleep, otherwise would be hard to stay in that room for a long time (you almost feel like you are in a closet). The walls in the hotel are really paper thin, I could hear everything that was going on in the hallway while in the room and inside other rooms when walking the hallway. It wasn't a problem for me, but for some people who are sensitive sleepers it might be. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for it's amazing location, cleanliness and great customer service.

Small but nice hotel.

It was close to everything. It was a bit noisy for someone that comes from having no noise at night.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your comment, I am glad that you had a good stay with us. If you consider staying with us again maybe ask for a room on the back of the building which quiet. Hotel Union Square is in the heart of the city and it's true that it can be a little overwhelming, if one is not used to it. Kind regards

Fun Hotel, Great Location

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: location, location, location...very cool inside...
Cons: The windows in the Dashiell Hammett Suite should open and stay open for some fresh air. The lamp was burned out next to the bed.
If you blink, you will miss the front door of Hotel Union Square. Between a money exchange business and a cheap tourist crap store, is the front door of Hotel Union Square. The lobby is well appointed, clean and very nice. We were lucky enough to stay in the Dashiell Hammett Suite which was really cool. From the antique typewriter, to Dashiell's over coat and hat, the room was really cool. The good news is that there are a number of window that actually open in the room. The bad news is that none of them would stay open...we used a water bottle in a couple of them to get some air. There is a window AC but with being in SF during amazing weather, we wanted fresh SF air. There were a couple other minor issues that I brought to the front desk...hopefully they followed up.

Dear Traveler, Thank you very much for choosing to stay with us. Thank you as well for your comments and particular the ones about the issues you had in the room. I will go double check myself that they have all been taken care of. I am also a big fan of the Dashiell Hammett suite, which housed the famous author for a few month after he got married. I hope you will consider staying with us again. Best regards

Great location.

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: The location.
Cons: Air conditioning in rooms would be good.
Location: Union square, love Macy's. Fisherman's wharf, pier 39. China Town. Lombard Street, the crooked street. I would recommend a day tour. Well worth it.
Great location to many nice restaurants and shopping. Convenience store opposite the hotel. The only downfall was the room we had was overlooking Powell street and was rather noisy. Even with the double glazed widow. No air con made it rather stuffy but as it wasn't exceptionally hot we managed ok. I would however still stay again at this hotel but on the opposite side of the complex, not road frontage. The free wine tasting at 5pm was a really nice touch.

Great location

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Great location..nice staff for sure... Our particular room was super tiny....there isn't a way to know what size room you are getting whaem you book--at least not thru a third party like expedia..the photos on the website sre very misleading. The beds are very comfortable -it's clean.and some rooms are larger--but our room was teeny tiny.

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for choosing to stay with us and for leaving a comment. We do have very wide variety of rooms and even in one room type they are not all exactly identical. It is very difficult to give a complete idea of our rooms on pictures. We also have much larger room types that are clearly identified on our website. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts, we hope you will stay again with us in the future. Best regards
