Great view and comfy stayPosted Feb 23, 2014
Even though we checked in late our stay and experience was more than expected! The night life twas rather quite alive which we thought was interesting and fun, but might not be for people with hobophobia despite the 24 hr diners. During the day there are these touring karts you can drive around in which looked really fun and if you can't find parking there is a garage that's ~22 a day.

Great ValuePosted Feb 21, 2014
This hotel is stuck between shops in Union Square. You might miss it, but it is in a great location. The rooms are small, but clean and quiet. I was there for business and it was a perfect hotel.

Great location but terrible comfortPosted Feb 10, 2014
Cons: Room accommodations
Location: Too many
My room was so small I could hardly wolk in it. I Asked to change and was given a larger one but without closets and no chairs The room was extremely stuffy and the (window) A/C did not help.

nice boutique hotelPosted Jan 28, 2014
Pros: newly done in a classy style
Cons: the first room I was in was hot and too noisy outside to open the windows, possible air conditioner would have been nice.
Location: located right on Powell St one block from the BART and the trolly cars, and the Westfield shopping mall, and 2 blocks from Union Square.
If you plan on getting a good nights sleep, don't get a room in the front, facing Powell St. very noisy. and the street people and garbage trucks run almost all night. I had a good experience with most of the staff, my last day the concierge was kinda rude. Other than that very pleasant experience. I had 3 nights here.

Nice Hotel Super LocationPosted Jan 23, 2014
Pros: The age of the hotel, architecture, the quaint rooms, great managers happy hour, and a very comfortable bed which made for good sleeping.
Cons: Cleaning staff - though they did a good job, their overall attention to detail was lacking.
Location: In the heart of San Francisco, within short walk to all transit options, access to all shopping, entertainment and fabulous restaurants downtown.
My recent stay was a pleasant one at the Hotel Union Square. Fantastic Front Desk Staff. Excellent location in the heart of San Francisco. Could have had better room cleaning service with a little more attention to detail. Good Wi-Fi connections. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for business or pleasure!

A surprisingly small room with big characterPosted Jan 23, 2014
This hotel is anything but ordinary. While visiting the city it would be silly to stay cooped-up in your room the whole time, right? Well, these rooms definitely encourage you to go out and explore San Fran.... They're quite small! However, they're adorable and comfortable. The decor and layout of the rooms are a perfect combination of vintage and modern themes. Customer service was excellent.
