Lots of bums, little pricey but cool city with lots of great places to eat.

Good. They were very accommodating. I found everyone polite and the hotel itself had a charm.

Just go to a newer hotel

Posted Oct 19, 2014
I keep forgetting that "historic hotel" means "old & crappy w/ no electrical outlets in your room & a bathroom as big as a standard bathtub." The sink fixture was installed improperly. Also hundreds of tiny little moths fly out of the shower drain while you're in the shower. Pretty gross.

Just the basics.....

Posted Oct 17, 2014
Pros: Personnel were very nice.
Cons: Get those darn bugs out of the bathroom. Update the plumbing fixures and bathrooms.
I came to SF for Dreamforce conference. The location of the hotel in reference to Moscone was awesome. BUT, the room was just the basics. I wanted a fridge (even a tiny one). Most hotels I've gone to have one as a basic amenity so I don't even ask anymore. Also, the bathroom was TINY. I could barely turn around in there. And the worst part, was the flying gnat-like bugs that were in the bathroom. They were on the walls, in the shower.....everywhere. Didn't like that at all but dealt with it. At least it wasn't a bedbug (which I checked for thoroughly). The staff was nice..... This is an old hotel, so you'll get that feel....some folks like that. The plumbing is old.....toilet didn't really flush that well and the sink water pressure was odd. Not my best stay.

Over priced

I had to pay 600.00 for this room . Tech show in town. But I was in town with my daughter did they really need to charge us that much? I would never recommend this place. I am in the travel business.

Good Location. You pay for location strictly

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: Location Starbucks Downstairs
Cons: Check In Process Price per night
Got this room last minute. And the location is fantastic. Walking distance to everything including BART. The Check In Process took forever! I don't know if its a slow computer or what---I prepaid too, so I thought it'd be snappy. You HAVE to do Valet, so prepare for that charge and also it's time consuming to wait for your car. Room was cool. Just needed a bed. The A/C is very LOUD. Thin walls, but I'm a simple person.

It's ok

First I checked in and though I bought a queen room through Expedia they didn't have one. The rooms are very very small. They though are very clean rooms the hotel for the most part is clean. Location is good I walked everywhere at all times and never felt unsafe. It was the best rate I could find for the hotel class and would say that it met that criteria for the most part

No one to great you when we arrived, check in went well. Never gave info about hotel and surroundings, nothing in the room either. Bathroom very small and exhaust fan very loud, could not leave bathroom door open. No coffee in room or Refrigerater. Elevators very very slow.
