Not bad, but not worth it

Posted Aug 1, 2015
Nice Location, but a lot of homeless people around. I'm honestly disappointed at first because everything looked so different from the pictures online, but I got used to it. Not bad, but still think it's not worth it for the price

Nice hotel next to Shopping Mall

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: Less than a block from Amtrak bus drop off and pick up point.
Located a few blocks from Union Square and right next to the Shopping Mall making this a great location for our visit to the city. Staff was very helpful and friendly whenever we had questions or needed information. Would stay here again.

Exceptional Service!

I had a great stay at the Palomar. The location is fantastic, and the staff is amazing! The mistake I made is that I didn't book through my corporate site and used Expedia, which means I didn't get credit toward my Kimpton Karma Rewards, which is a big ole bummer.

Central hotel ideal for seeing San Francisco

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: Friendly & helpful staff, spacious & clean room with comfortable beds. Our room was very quiet and well furnished. Good transport links.
Cons: Not much! The carpets were a bit tired. Breakfast was a bit expensive for 4 so we didn't use this but it would have been good to have had this.
Location: Excellent location. We used the BART from the airport which was veasy. Close to trolleys and street cars but away from the tackier/touristy side of SF
We visited San Francisco as a family of 4 - 3 adults and a teenager - on our 25th wedding anniversary. We booked a double double and asked for a quiet/high room which we got. Couldn't have been more quiet. The room was huge and bathroom spacious so we were able to spread out over the 3 days we were there. Not only were we warmly greeted on arrival, the hotel congratulated us on our anniversary and gave us a bottle of Prosecco & cup cakes which was a lovely touch. Our airline lost our luggage until our last night in San Fran and the staff at the Palomar were very concerned/sympathetic and helpful which was much appreciated.

nice to be back in a heated room, with bathroom af

Posted Jul 3, 2015
Pros: was nice, only here 1 night- 9pm check in/6am check out so can't really say as didnt really exp much
Cons: flip/turn the mattress, my bed was close to the wall, so the side furtherest from the wall sagged into the middle.
Location: people spitting, urine along the street, as we checked in late, it was about 9pm and needed to head outside to Walgree
was ok, checkin clerk was friendly, and helpful, offered the desk phone to make a call to confirm shuttle pick up for early the next morning. bathroom was big, room was spacious. door man was rude, yelling out to the shuttle bus driver- quick get their bags, they are Australians, they don't tip. While there is a difference between Aussies and Yanks and tipping, I do acknowledge in USA to tip and do tip, so he can shut it really. needless to say the doorman did not get a tip for A) not opening the door for us (even though I am capable and do not need someone to open a door for me and really wouldn't want to tip of for this useless service), B) why tip rude service,

Pros: voir ci-dessus

We had a wonderful stay here. The customer service was outstanding, especially Treavor at the front desk. Would highly recommend staying at this hotel. We will be back!
