Never expect internet connection!!

Posted Sep 26, 2014
In the 21st century, wireless internet connection is a must. This motel says "We have high speed internet connection," but in fact, it has frequent internet disconnection every few minutes probably because it has a poor wifi router for too many users. In addition, there was no coffee machine, blinking desk light, noisy old air conditioner and dull staff in the hotel. Unless all you need is bed and shower, never stay in this property.

Great location, great price

Posted Sep 24, 2014
Pros: Easy, good facilities, inexpensive, lots of food options nearby.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Lots of good eating options very close by.
I found this hotel an excellent option for staying in the San Fran area. Convenient, clean, tidy, great service. Breakfasts were basic but well set up and stocked. I would definitely stay here again.

A Bad Motel 8

Posted Sep 23, 2014
Arrived after 10 pm. They won't let you in front. Have to pass ID through a security slot to get key. Room small, bed sheet clean but had gray stain in middle. Air conditioner smelled bad, old motel, needs fixup. No elevators so lug you suitcases up the outside stairs. Bathroom had black hairs on shower curtain, a Spider Web above tub and the resident spider complete with his other webs was above the toilet. Don't stay there!

Nice quant place

Posted Sep 3, 2014
Was a nice quant room. Great for a very small hotel. Not enough parking. Not a very nice part of town. But was enough for a couple of nights.

Reservation everyone can take a reservation

Did not get the room I paid for through expedia. Upon arrival I was given a different room which was at a lower rate than what I paid for. Desk clerk could care less.

Nice and close to attractions.

Pros: Close to activities Continental breakfast Nice room not 5 star but worth what you pay for
Cons: The internet was awful The phone rang all night long
Location: We visited Levi stadium and Alcatraz and Pier 39. San Mateo had a huge mall as well to vist
The room was nice had a comfy bed and nice furnishings. The interior door could be painted but that was it. The place had a frig and microwave. The breakfast was nice cereal, milk, yogurt, bagels, oatmeal, fruits, juice coffee was enough and better than some places. The phone rang all night had to unplug it. DO not go there looking to do business work or anything the internet was awful. I had to go to a nearby restaurant to have internet. The staff was friendly. I will definitely stay again. It was worth the price we got it for. We were visiting Santa Clara and San Francisco and it was right in middle and not as pricey as San Francisco.

Economical hotel, not far from SFO

Posted Aug 9, 2014
We booked this hotel for our recent trip to San Francisco. We soon found it was a little too far to travel from San Mateo to downtown San Francisco, but we managed to take public transportation and lyft downtown wveryday. The area seems safe, although more industrial. The front desk staff could really use some interpersonal skills or something. Every time I interacted with the guy who was there most of our stay, I could barely hear him. Just a mumble, no smile or indication of anything. It was annoying and I was surprised someone like that is employed in hospitality. But I guess it's Howard Johnson so you kind of get what you pay for. With that, we got a great deal on the hotel and it was pretty worth it.

Neighborhood hotel near airport

Posted Jul 31, 2014
This quaint remodeled motel was just right for my 14 hour stay. My room location was quiet, the price reasonable, and the breakfast choices were decent. My only criticism is the room should have been cleaner. There were a few cobwebs, the bathroom floor was dirty, and far too many dust bunnies under the bed.
