Pros: Staff was very accommodating. Loved sitting at the lounge at night enjoying a light dinner with a class of wine. We often chatted with the staff.
Location: Perfect location on the Embarcadero. Loved shopping at the Farmer's Market. Walked to Fisherman's Wharf , Chinatownand Italian section for dinner.
Perfect hotel, directly across from Ferry Building. Everything was perfect.

LOVED the Regency Club & Staff!Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: LOVED the Regency Club & Staff. They were very friendly and helpful. Good food & great amenities(free wi-fi, computer w/printer, massage chairs, etc
Cons: Towel rack near sink kept falling off, shower head was a handicap model and it slide down the pole while you took a shower. Won't stay in place.
Location: Great views! Since in financial district, food places closed up around 6pm (plan around that)
Worth the extra money to get to go up to the Regency Club. They offer several times you can go to the top and enjoy food/drinks. For the price you are paying for the rooms, they should be in top condition. The bathroom needed a little TLC on it's fixtures & shower head (kept sliding down while taking a shower) :/ Will think twice about spending that kind of money for a room like that.

I would choose a different area next timePosted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: cable car stops right out side of the hotel, and I never saw this stop busy. we hoped on no problem.
great location as far as being able to get around. Bart, busses and cable car all right out front. also bike rental right around the corner, as well as the Ferry bldg. this was good as we tended to leave the area for the day. hotel was very big. i have some mobility issues, and would have requested a room closer to the elevators had I known how far I was going to have to walk. the open lobby made it a little noisy at times.

What a view!Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Everyone working in the hotel was friendly and helpful. The Stay Fit gym was great and fully funtional. Thank you Hyatt we had a great time.
Location: Everything is close. Trolley. Bart. Shopping. China town. The Pier. When we didnt feel like walking the helful doormen made it easy to get a cab.
We were able to upgrade to the Hyatt room and were very pleased. It was comfortable and spacious. The view was amazing! You could see and hear the many activities of the city. I wouldn't recommend this room if you are looking for a quiet room but we love the city noise and movement so it was perfect for us.

Good LocationPosted Jul 29, 2014
Cons: Check in staff was hit and miss with customer service.
Sent the night after returning from Napa, the hotel was clean and well maintained. Walking distance to the AT&T ball park for baseball. Great location for most other tourist sites.

Old hotel with no real dining options. Noisy roomsPosted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Consigere desk
Cons: Demolish and build a new hotel (or do major renovation). Start playing music in 'resturant' and not machine made noise.
Location: Great resturants next door with amazing service and food!!
Paid top dollars for a room on a weekend ($350 ) and was greeted with: zero points since I booked at an online travel site. I was told that I could not pay for access to the Regency lounge since it was 'full'. The only dining option is an open cafeteria style hall at the bottom of the hotel that is exceedingly noisy and which plays auto-pop (machine 'music') with the same verse over-and-over again for 8-12 minutes at a time (torture). You will get a better dining experience at McDonalds. The rooms are small, the furniture was probably installed 20-30 years ago and looks like what we had in our house in the 1980s. If you give up and try buying your own snack in the gift store you are in for a 'treat'. You cannot charge anything to your room from the gift store unless you show ID, room key and sign 3 (!) different receipts. The process takes 10 minutes. Once in the room, the bed is comfortable, but you will be charged $9.95 to use the internet, and there is no mini-bar in your room. There is also no coffee maker in the room (like Marriott and Hilton). So what you get is a run-down hotel that has seen better days and a service level and dining experience that is below any standard. All of this for the 'pleasure' of paying over $350 per night. The only good experience is the Consierge desk which is staffed by friendly and very helpful people. Stay away and pick any other 4-star hotel in SF, where you will most likely have a much better experience.
