Great beginning to the holidaysPosted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: Convenient to everything and not as busy as downtown
Cons: It is right in the center of the embarcadero surrounded by tall buildings so not much of a view but we were not in the room enough to care.
Location: Pier 39 is within walking distance but take the trolley its cheap it is about a mile and a half. It really is convenient to everything because Bart i
Love the Hyatt. Staff is very friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and Christmas decorations were beautiful really got us into the holiday spirit. This hotel is directly across from Bart if you want to go downtown.Trolley stops right across the street if you want a ride to pier 39 and wharf cost $ 2.25 . Food in the resteraunt was good but a little pricey but it is a Hotel resteraunt. Will return next year again. Also Starbucks right across the street.

Beautiful hotel, convenient location to the Wharf!Posted Nov 28, 2014
Cons: The concierge services could use some improvement with being more accurate with their information.
Location: The Ferry Bldg is right across the street with tons of eateries and great foodie-type of shopping. Quick drive or to many great sights around SF town
Stayed for 2 nights around the tree lighting time in prep for Christmas! Beautiful lobby; stayed on the 3rd floor----a little loud through the night and hearing seagulls in the early morning--- but we were pleasantly surprised to find earplugs and white noise machine by our beds. Self parking and valet parking quite expensive; but self park was right next door and easy to get to. Valet parking was also very efficient and quick if you use the texting feature to hail your car. Definitely would stay here again.

Cons: your staff could help download luggage from the car when guest arrive at your hotel..No one helped me with my luggage.and they were just looking.
Location: movie, museum
My experience at hotel was pretty good. I felt safe and secured but the parking situation should be fixed. It was too expensive ,guest should get discounted parking.

Don't trust concierge advicePosted Nov 26, 2014
The concierge desk gave us advice on transit to Levi's stadium. The muni train he sent us too wasn't open at the time we needed if we were going to catch the Caltrain. The bus he told us to catch from Caltrain to the stadium wasn't running at the time the first train arrives. The transit passes he suggested ended up costing more because of having to buy extra transit tickets, not to mention the cab ride to get to Caltrain in a panic due to the muni not being open followed by no train heading that way till after the first Caltrain would have departed. The last straw was that he told us our transit passes were good for all transit in San Fran. Failed to mention that they don't work on the BART so we couldn't use them to get back to the airport. We ended up buying passes that we didn't even come close to breaking even with and then spending loads on additional passes all from bad advice. We went back to the concierge desk the day after the game to give an account of the nightmare of a commute that they had caused through terrible advice and directions, they took our room number and then did absolutely nothing for us. On a separate note if they ask you if you want an upgrade for a bay view ask to see the room first. We paid $140 to upgrade for our 3 night stay. When we got to the room the view was a small sliding door in the corner of the room that you could only see if you walked all the way to the end of the room. Made worse by music till 11 and noise all night by the rink
