Excellent location for a restful layoverPosted Mar 5, 2014
We stayed two nights, arriving in the wee hours and departing before sunrise a day later. The room was spacious, overlooked a small harbour, and had beautiful light. A small breakfast was served to the room, which we ate from comfy wing chairs by the fireplace. Pretty wonderful for an airport hotel!

Nice, quiet place with decent pricePosted Jan 30, 2014
Cons: Get the nasty smell out of the room
Location: Location is close to SF Bay trail, which is nice for a morning walk.
The staff were very helpful, but the accommodations were a bit dated. Having breakfast delivered to your room was a nice touch, however if you have to leave the hotel before 6:30 am, you are out of luck. Room had a strange smell in it, not sure what it was.

Quiet Bayside setting with lovely Bay viewsPosted Jan 20, 2014
Pros: Location and views!
Cons: There appeared to have been a mishap at one point in time with the fireplace in my room and the ceiling was patch-painted.
Location: Walk way along the marina and Bay. Downtown is 30min by cab.
The Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. This Inn is away from the hub-bub of downtown San Francisco. It is 10 min from SFO and about a 25-30 min cab ride into downtown (depending on traffic). The restaurant offers delicious and reasonably priced fare and the waitstaff are very attentive. There's a wonderful deck on which to enjoy your meals overlooking the marina. The bed and pillows are the most comfortable I've ever had the pleasure to sink into. The rooms could use some freshening up (painting), but they are clean, spacious and comfortable replete with a gas fireplace! I will definitely return!

Cozy RoomsPosted Jan 3, 2014
Pros: Complimentary breakfast, free parking, free wi-fi, fireplace in room, large bathroom, robes, lots of tv channels
Cons: The restaurant.
We had a great stay, the room was extremely clean and very cozy. We were told the restaurant was open until 9:30, when we arrived at 8:40 there was a partition in the entrance. We asked if the restaurant was closed and were told "kind of". We asked what that meant and another server came over and said she would take care of us. Service was quick, food was ok, decor still looks dated. We enjoyed the complimentary continental breakfast in the morning. It was simple, arrived on time and was just enough to start the day.

Good Hotel in an Odd AreaPosted Dec 31, 2013
This hotel was right on the bay and we had a terrific view of the marina. The hotel is sort of behind an executive park which made the area empty on the weekend. The art work was very odd in the hotel, particularly in our room. There was some dried urine at the base of the toilet, so it led me to question what corners had been cut while cleaning.

49er game hotel roomPosted Dec 30, 2013
Pros: Observation while on many trips to the S.F. 49ers games over the years.
Cons: With the view, large room, comfortable furniture, breakfast delivered to your door and a fireplace that turns on with the flip of a switch. What more?
Location: South San Francisco and soon a new mall where Candlestick Stadium stood.
We were unhappy with the room at first. The refrig. was falling out of the cabinet every time the door was opened, the blinds only opened 1/2 way, lights were burned out in a couple of lamps, there was no microwave, etc. I called the desk - in less than 5 minutes there was a rep. at our door trying to fix all that was not correct with the room. When he discovered it was going to take time to fix everything he called the desk and they suggested (if we agreed with their idea) we change to a room 2 doors away that had been checked just minutes ago. They also brought (to the new room) a microwave for our use in less than 5 minutes later. Somtimes things happen. It's how you deal with the problems that is "client service".

A little tired...Posted Dec 27, 2013
Pros: The staff were very pleasant and attentive. The lady running the restaurant and bar gave excellent service.
Cons: Some of the furnishings in the bedrooms could be improved, which are looking dated.
Location: Good views and you can take a walk outside the hotel close to the marina.
A small hotel which has eclectic furnishings, some of which are a little tired. Do not expect the hotel to have the sleek finish of a national brand. However, the staff are extremely friendly and this made a big difference to the overall enjoyment of our stay. The views are excellent for an airport hotel, and we were able to enjoy a walk before checking out. The breakfast is very limited, and is either served in your bedroom, or in the lounge downstairs. The bar/restaurant area is not used as as breakfast area, which seems strange. The friendly staff made this hotel worth a visit.

Pros: See above comments. In a word, every thing.
Location: South San Francisco has a restaurant row, Grand Avenue, nearby that is diverse in ethnicity and excellent in quality..
Chose this hotel for second time due to proximity to SFO and all it has to offer: Quiet, view of marina, great rooms by all measures of comfort and convenience. But the greatest strength is the exceptionally friendly, professional staff. So close to all that San Francisco has to offer, but the impression and experience is of a coastal, intimate resort staffed by top of the line professionals that enjoy their work and their guests. I will definitely return when the need arrives. Great for park and fly, but that is the least of what this place has to offer.
