“Wonderful Boutique Find”

Hotel staff, from front desk welcome to housekeeping, could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Feels more like bed and breakfast than hotel since there are areas located on alternating floors for breakfast and wine and cheese in afternoon. Great way to meet and chat with other guests. Rooms were cozy, comfortable and very clean. Location, just a few steps from Union Square, was very convient to shopping and all modes of transportation and rental cars. GREAT boutique hotel - only drawback - no views. Will definitely recommend to anyone wanting a B & B experience in the middle of town.

“A little gem...”

The Inn at Union Square is a little gem located right near the Union Square, shopping district, and public transport. All the staff are warm and friendly and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. They are happy to adfvise you on what to see and do or look up any information you may need for transport or that special meal. Our room was extremely comfortable, tv, free wifi, complimentary water and chocolates, & Aveda bathroom products. The queen bed was a little small & the size of the room smaller than your average hotel room but this is San Francisco. All rooms are compact due to the nature of the cities architecture. The decor was truely gorgeous, very tudor in style, and gave you the feeling of grandure. The business centre was on level 2 with a pc, printer and tourist information. Breakfast was served each morning on levels 3 & 5. A full spread, fruit, bagels, toast, cereal, eggs, pastries, coffee and juice. You can eat either at the table on each level by the fireplace, or take it back to your room on the trays provided. Every night there also was free wine and cheese nights, a wonderful way to share your experienes with fellow guests. Overall a great place to stay, good location, exceptional value for money , & most importantly staffed by a caring group of people. We would stay there again, without a doubt !

“Wonderful small hotel in a great location”

Lovely breakfast, wine and cheese for late afternoon, and fresh baked chocolate chip cookies for an late evening snack. This is a great little hotel. Rooms are small but comfortable. The staff is most helpful. We would give this hotel our highest recommendation.

“Small hotel, big in charm”

Friendly staff. Nice selection in the complimentary continental breakfast and evening wine and cheeses. Elegant décor. Go for the suites for a "larger" room.

“In the 'Heart of San Francisco'”

The Inn offers a convienently located, friendly and comfortable spot to spend time in the city. Staff knew us by name and bent over backwards to provide for our needs. Close to some of the best shopping in the city.

“Excellent December stay”

We spent a long weekend in December, 2008 and had an outstanding time. Every person who worked there was exceptional, the location is perfect for getting all over town, plenty within a few blocks of walking; extremely good value. Meeting other guests over wine in the evening or breakfast in the morning was really fun Halls are a bit tight, rooms not expansive, but we were more than very happy with our stay
